# 7 Brent Shaffer didn't play long enough at U.T. to have his jersey retired. He did lead us to a good win agains UNLV though!!!!!! Ainge replaced him when he had his shoulder seperated.

He's talking about Casey Clausen. He did stay for his senior season.

Maybe we should establish a ring of honor like the Cowboys. That way Condredge has his name in Neyland Stadium forever, even if his number is not retired. Some type of permanent monument is appropriate for the "Artful Dodger".

Yes. Change the criteria for retiring numbers if you have to for him to get in. He made history. He deserves it IMO.

Don't like the idea retired numbers for football....Wall of Fame, Ring of Honor yeah but too many players to retire football #s

I voted no. I think #7 should be a number that stays on the field but does honor Holloway. Maybe let a Senior Captain wear it every year. Anyone can wear it with the exception of OLs for the obvious reason that they can't wear the number. I think it protects a number that many fan-favorites have worn (Holloway, Clausen, Grant, Mayo, etc...) that has been slightly tainted the past few years.
