Shoop: Warrior 'probably' UT's 'best player' this spring

I remember last fall, people on here demanding us starting Warrior over Abernathy. Abernathy has turned out to be a pretty solid player for us. Hopefully TK and Abernathy both stay healthy this year or we will be relying on a RS FR and an incoming FR to replace them with. Not saying Warrior isn't ready, but experience means a lot in SEC ball.

I too hope they stay healthy ... but if they both did not, I would imagine that Ev Berry and Gaulden would be in the safety conversation along with Warrior and Gray.

Exactly. By definition a safety is the last defense against a big play. I will take a senior who has seen it all over a smaller, younger guy 10 times out of 10.

Bob Shoop - The Defense needed a playmaker all of 2016, how are you just now evaluating him against the upperclassmen?

Nigel didn't have all the defensive schemes down, guys. It's not that difficult to find out if you're actually a Vol fan. If you don't know the defense how can you have confidence to go out there and execute?

Nigel had multiple blown coverages playing last year. If he had played more- maybe some of you would have realized it.

He was very immature last year. I got that from the interviews when he said he's never studied a playbook. Good to see him maturing.

He definitely has elite ability. Potentially another Honey Badger.

honey badger's azz.....

I want him to be as good as Dale was...and the honey wuss couldn't carry Carter's jockstrap...:salute:
