Shoop! (There It Is)

My vote to replace "Third Down For What".

Dude--SHOOP today stunk it up all over the field..........

No EXCUSE for not having us in QUARTERS with CBs and LBs walked WAY OFF the line of scrimmage on that TD pass by UGA.....to keep everything in front of us and able to break on the ball to make tackles.

With less than 20 seconds to play and UGA with NO timeouts left.....no excuse for failure to take a TO to get our guys lined up in the correct coverage and playing zone to keep everything in front of us.....limited to 10-15 yard gain at the most in that situation....instead of giving up a 40 yd TD pass in man coverage with 10 seconds left on the clock....just plain stupid play-call....

IN FACT--THE ONLY WAY to LOSE a game would be to be playing bump and run man with your CBs--which is what coverage 13 was playing....just flat out INEXCUSABLE....

Those types of fundamental breakdowns in simple situations is exactly WHY you need miracles to win games....NO GENIUS on defensive side of ball today. :salute:

I think Shoop is a good coach. I'm glad we won. The defense got owned today and we had to pull one out of our anus.

shoop's boys gave up 31 points this week

you do know we got at least 3 of our best players on defence on the sidelines. Jrm, darren kirkland jr, cam sutton. You do know this right. We are still winning with out them. Plus jalen hurd did not play much in second half. And we still won at georgia.

We got two of our best LBs out and our best cover guy out and still beat Georgia,

Shoop couldn't come up with an answer for the edge run in 60 minutes of football today. aTm has the blueprint for how to shutdown our defense.

Shoop is good, but today, he did not have any answers for GA's running game.

If the blueprint for edge running is sheep hooking the defensive line on every play, I agree.

I have three excuses to your ridiculous rant:
Jalen reeves-maybin
Darren Kirkland jr
Cameron Sutton

Two of those players are team captains. All three may be done for the season. Yet our team still won today. So saying something nonsensical like there is no excuse is not true. There are some excuses. Pretty good ones.

I think Shoop is a good coach but the defense isn't the one winning games. How about some love for the "old man" Debord and his offense. They've scored 45 to win the battle of Bristol, 38 on the so called number one defense in Florida and 34 today to win a high scoring game.

Let's be honest, there is holding on every play. The refs just usually call the most blatant of them. Regardless of the holding, we tackled poorly overall, and allowed a lot of extra yardage after contact. This is against what for the other games they have played this year, is a relatively anemic group of running backs protected by an oline that was considered worse than ours prior to Chance Hall coming back.

Not Shoop's best performance no matter how you cut it.

I just can't champion an OC who with less than 2 minutes left, goes ultra conservative instead of trying to get a first down to put the game to bed. That same old debord playcalling nearly cost us a chance at winning the game.

He didn't call Jalen's fumble at the 1 yard line

Yeah, Im sorry OP but from my tv set, we got handled at the line by UGA all day. They were getting blocks left and right to get Michel and Co bust some runs on us.

Nor did we have a wiff of a consistent pass rush. Eason will be the next big QB in the east I believe, (hope Dormady proves otherwise) but he was making throws and getting his reads with time.

Not convinced of the orange swarm just yet. More like the orange buzzing right now.

Yet, here you was praising him before the season even started. You're never satisfied with anyone just like a good portion of our fans.

Huh, I never praised anyone before the season started so I don't know what you are talking about. I am very happy we are winning but we shouldn't give up 31 points to those guys no matter how many starters are out

Shoops is a guy that has proven himself, he has earned respect. He made candy a respectable defense. He had Penn State one of the top defenses in the country despite all of the sanctions and bad press. He has beaten Florida and Georgia without 3 of our 4 best defensive players.
