I will never understand why Jancek was let go. I take that back, it was because of his "4th down defense". so dumb rating 4th down defense as more important than Jancek's really good 3rd down defense.

Jancek's D was overly simple. Basically ran one formation, but the kids knew how to run it. Shoop is the complete opposite. No one knows what he wants and all the players play slow.

I don't know how good or bad he was. He was put in bad situations with all the three and outs and the injuries to our LB's. Was the rest of Franklins staff that good to cover up his deficiencies or is he a good DC and Butch held him back. I guess we will find out soon enough either here or when someone else hires him.

I like Shoop in the way he relates with the media.I'm just tired of our defense looking like a screen door in a submarine.Don't know if the players are not good enough or shoop is a terrible coach.One or the other is true.We are stuck with the players so I guess bye bye shooper!!

I believe it was like a sexual harassment claim from inside athletic department. This was about time of all that Title IX stuff so it seemed like Butch had no choice because of the perception at that stream of time. I could be off a tad in details.

Like Clawson I think Shoop is a good coach but for whatever reason the wheels came off here. He will probably kick as somewhere else though.

Recognizing that you simply can't keep the defense on the field for 60 minutes putting Shoop in a tough spot, for me the jury is still out on him. I think the jury being out for 2 years is too long and the verdict is going to have to be that he doesn't cut it.
