Shocked...dismayed...

As long as Fulmer is at UT, we can expect mediocre to bad seasons, yearly losses to FLA, disappointing losses in middle-tier bowl games, and no titles whatsoever. Fulmer must go!

Shocked...dismayed....and I would add disappointed. That sums it up. It'll be Thursday before I get my optimism back. It's like Dr. Evil stole my Mojo.

If we are adding to the list, then - angry...frustrated...embarrased...disgruntled and really just pissed off. OK , i'm done. Bring on Arky St, we need a punching bag.

I don't know whose fault it is but bottom line is Saturday they were outmanned and out performed. The players did not execute at all. Bad quaterback play, receiver play, back play, linebacker play, secondary play, and line play equals a butt kickin any day of the week and twice on Saturday! You could have the best coach in the world and if the kids aren't performing the basics on the field then it doesn't matter.

true, but that's all a reflection of coaching...we look like pop warner out there, basics fundamentals and execution all comes to down to coaching

First...Congrats gators...if there are any question marks on your team, TENNESSEE wasnt the team to expose them.

Second, I knew going in there was a chance UT could lose, but by the score, I am truly shocked.

Third, There is no excuse for giving up 41 PPG...say what you want about the offense but when a defense cant hold on, it puts the offense in a perilious situation.

Fourth, what ever happens to Fulmer and/or his staff...it happens.

Finally, Im here to take my medicine. Ive been taking up for the TEAM all season long. I will continue to do so. There are enough gator boards and bammer boards on here to bad mouth the VOLS, and if some of my VOL Bretheren want to be lumped in with them, be my guest. BUT not this VOL fan.

GO BIG ORANGE!!!

Vol fan since birth (1960) and also alumni. I attend the games every year and I think we have a right to point out the problems when they reach this level. Nothing wrong with being loyal to your school and I think we all are BUT if I we don't produce in our jobs they will find somebody else.

It is my sole opinion this has gone long enough. I strive for a team that is a contender each year, kinda like the Gators. This team has played to the level of the opposition waaaay to many times. Coach has not and is not getting the job done. He has been way to loyal to assistants that were not up to par and that is not being a leader. The game has passed this staff by and it is beyond the players. This team was not prepared for saturday's game, period, and that responsibility lies with the coahing staff and ultimately the head coach.

Sorry but it is the QB's responsibility to "seat" the football in the Rb's belly, that one is on Ainge , and yes I know he's doing it left handed because of the broken pinky, but it is still his responsibilty.

Fulmer said on review of the tape that AF had his elbow too low. I'll give you fifty fifty. Point is, it seems everytime he is part of a fumble it is a disaster.

Since Fulmer blamed it on Foster, I dont foresee him being word a darn for the rest of the season. You Coker, Hardesty and Creer fans...get ready

I was born into TN football, and I have seen some bad bad seasons growing up. Watching the team lose and then have great wins. I have traveled the country with the VOLS and know that this program will get better. I am still upset about the performance of the program since 98. It seems like it has just been bland. Leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Where are our explosive players of the past, the Jamal Lewis, the Payton Mannings, the Chuck Webbs. I am ready for some players to be excited about. I am going to go out on a limb here but T Martin was the last exciting player for me watch at TN, I am just hoping we can finish the season 10-2.
GO VOLS!!!

I will say this..... there appear to be fewer and fewer orange Kool-Aid drinkers since Saturday's game.

I am sitting here reading everyone's posts and agreeing with most everyone. Here's the thing.....I am not one of these people that start calling for a coach to resign after losses. After the 2005 season, that never even occurred to me. After seeing all the other teams this season, I am understanding how lacking we are in the coaching department. When fans watching on TV can call the plays, that is sad. I love Phil as much as anyone else, but I think that it is time for a change. We stand to looe players like Berry, who is proving that he could be a BIG player for TN. Is anyone aware that he was a great QB in high school. He could be the running/passing QB we have been looking for..... How many new recruits do you think will want to come to a loosing school? About as many as went to South Carolina pre-Spurrier days.
