Schiff Claims No Court Would Find Fault with Dems for Stating the Law

Tuesday on MS NOW's "The Last Word," Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) claimed no court would find fault with Democratic lawmakers "for stating the law." Schiff | Clips

Schiff said, “This is plainly intended to try to intimidate them. We have the astonishing situation where the president, the Pentagon, are saying that if you state the law, if you state what the Constitution provides, that that’s how somehow going to subject to investigation or prosecution for sedition, or court martial. It’s absurd. But the whole point of it is also a dangerous effort to try to silence and intimidate. I can tell you, knowing all of these six who made that video, they are not about to be silenced or intimidated.”

Host Lawrence O’Donnell said, “So the FBI prior to Donald Trump’s inauguration, was engaged in serious work every day. There’s certainly a dozen FBI agents now who’ve been dragged off, probably a couple of dozen dagged off, whatever they were doing to go talk to members of Congress about something they said publicly. They could just sit in their FBI offices and study the video. It’s all there.”

Schiff said, “That’s exactly right. And that’s why this is all about intimidation. It’s not a serious investigation. There’s no court or court martial in the world that would find fault, I think, with my colleagues for stating the obvious, for stating the law. but, you know, it’s designed to send a chilling effect. it’s designed not only to chill these particular members, but to send a message other members of Congress, House or Senate that you got to watch what you say because you’ll be investigated. You could be threatened with prosecution.”

That's not how it works. They're asking you since you decided the tweet was worth bringing to the board. If you don't know if it's true then how about confirming the information you're posting before adding it to a thread? That way your posts will contain less junk and fewer lies. If you can't then I'm sure the board will survive if you just don't post ****** tweets

You're obsessed with Schiff yet don't know if he married to a man or woman? Do you know how one might find that information?

Has nothing to do with being a mod. Most of the fake stuff you post is so obvious it just takes common sense. Paying attention to the world outside your limited algorithm would help

I'm not "obsessed" w/little pencil neck.There's a thread here in the PF that was made for the traitor (some people's opinion) Adam Schiff that was being neglected by libs & conservatives alike & being pushed down to the bottom not to be mentioned again. I thought the thread needed a boost to help w/the visibility of his constant BS lying about Trump & those nasty MAGAs. So, I started posting in here to help point out his disgusting display of life as being a democratic congressman. Same thing w/the Nancy Pelosi thread and her disgusting life & constant deceits of lying about Trump. Common sense may vary from person to person. Your common sense is different from what I think is common sense. You seem not to respect others that differs w/yours. Doesn't make that person wrong bc you get to say so. Btw, is he married to a man or woman? Do you know? I've never thought about it.

So you decided to give it "a boost to help w/the visibility of his constant BS lying" by posting many tweets that are lies and insults? It took all of 5sec to find out he's married to a woman. Same thing when looking up the American citizen whose deportation you called for many, many times. Or the claims AOC is worth millions. Or the dozens of other tweets spouting just made up crap you seem to feel is so important to post on VN

You live in an online bubble which is why you seem to really struggle with what's real/true and what's not. The danger of excessive social media use is that it gives you what you want without regard to whether it's helping or even true. Multiple people have called you out for this kind of posting
