well we will have a freshman 2nd and 3rd string qb but hell an 9th grader would be better than peterman the worst qb to ever wear the clad and Big Orange.Well in my lifetime anyways 1970 to present. i guess i need to go watch some film of Sheriron Jones play not saw any film of the kid playing football.

Who is Butch Jones? He comes out of conference U.S.A.! I bet he cannot recruit on this level! Now those were the days. I guess he proved all those guys wrong. Last year was no fluke and there are no legacy players this year.

A couple of posts have mentioned McKenzie, but Townsend is another legacy player...and both have a good chance of starting as true freshmen.

Do Y'all think that there is a possibility one of the quarterbacks coming in could get a look at receiver? I haven't really seen any of them play and I don't know if any of them have the skill set for it. I do know in the past Tennessee has been successful at this with guys like Cedrick Wilson. Also, Tennessee doesn't have many receivers this class I believe.

Beyond what OSU has done this year, CBJ, as a Brian Kelly disciple, knows what Kelly went through in 2008 using 5 quarterbacks to win Big East conference. Now, Kelly has proven he can win with any type of quarterback; CBJ stacking his QB prototypes.

He did it right after early enrollees signed up too. So no one but Jones can change mind.

I expect the worst QB between Jones and Jennings to be an athlete for another position on the team like DB, WR, LT (lol), etc.

CBJ is as good a recruiter as CPF maybe better. CBJ is recruiting against much better sec coaching than before also.

CPF's "supposed" recruiting prowess, produced players/teams that didn't finish in the top ten PF's last eight or nine years, so you must mean his prowess from back in the 1990's, a short 6 or 7 year span.

It may work out! I recall Lewis, Henry & Stephens in the same class.

Lewis left a year early but he started his freshman & junior years.

Henry started his sophomore & senior year and play 4 seasons.

Stephens red shirted and started his senior year.

One stayed 3 seasons, one stayed 4 seasons and one stayed 5 seasons. All played in the N.F.L. at some point.
