Sheriron Jones Back at UT (merged)

I know you jump back forth to the recruiting forum, does this make us a spot shorter than what we were planning on working with?

Not saying that's bad or anything just wondering about existing offers.

It just affects the 85 man number...which doesn't clear until Summer anyway. From everything I've seen, blueshirts weren't going to be used this year, so this doesn't affect the numbers in the upcoming class. It's like it never happened. What it DOES do IMO is ensure SJ doesn't transfer after the Spring duel for backup. If he wins tho I'd bet Dormady transfers.

Thank you sir :hi:

Sheriron can ball man. Even though we haven't seen him in action dude can really spin the ball. Watched him in pregame against UGA. Glad to have him back.

Had he went to Florida he would have probably played this year. I'm glad he's back. I haven't anointed Dormady has the next starter like some have. Sheriron could be a really good one.

Someone who wants to be here is always welcome IMO. He's facing huge odds to see the field as a QB, and yet he returns. Jones could become a leader in the coming years for us. Glad he's back, even if he never sees the field as a QB.

The reason he didn't push for playing time last year wasn't because he had less ability, but he wasn't an early enrollee. He'll push Dormady for the #2 job. He's very, very talented.

Sheriron Jones came to the stands after the Outback bowl and threw his gloves to the fans.

I thought is was a great gesture....

then I thought he was getting rid of all of his UT stuff.

now I think that it was a great gesture again!!!

go figure?!?!?!

I will say the kid at least has the humility straight up to go in with his hat in hand and admit he made a mistake. I remember the coaching staff talking him up last year when he was in camp and talking how smart he was with catching on to the offense and pushing himself in practice. It probably that will go a long way in the staff accepting him back.

I do sincerely hope he gets a second chance at being a Vol. Not a lot do.

When he left I was upset because I really wanted to see this kid get a chance to play. I hope the coaches can figure out a way to get him some snaps / reps somehow.
