People change positions successfully every year, people who get offended at a fans suggestion on a message board are a tad pretentious.

A walk on cb will be going in round of the NFL draft 1 as a LB. A 3 star QB from Louisville got drafted as a first round DE recently. A RB from UCLA will go in the top 100 after a year at cb. A DE from Clemson led the NFL in sacks after moving positions several times in college. How dare a fan, on a message board, entertain such ideas.

-Jennings moved
-Hurd is moving and people were ripped for suggesting it

Im not saying we should never let a player change positions. Im saying people shouldnt spend all off season clamoring for a position change and then when said player has a bad game or makes a mistake the threads of "CBJ is an idiot for not moving x player to x position."
Did the fans help decide to move any of the players listed? No

Im saying lets let the coaches decide.

What does that have to do with anything?

I'm just pointing out that some just assume he could play WR, yet have never seen him make a meaningful play with the ball in his hands.

There are several clips showing him making meaningful plays in the open field in high school. That's why he was listed as a dual threat QB.

There are several valid arguments about the potential importance of a 3rd string QB, but to try to make this about race is utterly ridiculous.

Like I said.... You've never seen anything meaningful that tells you he could play WR. I'm not saying it's automatically race based to ask the question. Just saying it's kind of a lazy thing that some fans still bring up with a black QB sometimes.

Couple months ago people were saying Dobbs should switch to WR in the NFL. Their only evidence he could catch was the trick play we ran against UF a couple years ago.

He did not want to. He was there less than a week, and decided he would rather be a backup at Tennessee than a starter at Colorado. If there are other factor that went into it, you would have to ask him.

He has the opportunity to battle it out and win the position as much as anyone else in contention for it hopefully. I trust the coaches and may the best man at the position be the starter.
