So you would hire somebody to do a job they have no experience in and publicly said they don't want to do? Really? Let me know how that works out the next time you take your car in for service and you give it over to somebody who's never been a mechanic, says they don't want to be a mechanic, and further says they don't want to work on your car.
Now, Jeff...don't go be logical! 😂

You are putting up with an unproven and unqualified Coach now.......I would at least like one that would instill some structure, discipline and effort!! :hi:
It's a real problem he has; unfortunately it's mixed with a knowledge of sports as well as intelligence. Then to top it off, he's a nice guy (a gentleman). He has a hard row to hoe; we'll just have to pull for him. Poor thing and bless his heart.:birgits_giggle:
Did you see gule claiming not to comprehend my post? He's just not wanting to admit he got guled.lol:
Thank you very much. I appreciate that.

How did it work out for the greatest coach ever? You really believe she doesn't want to coach UT even though she may have said that? What are you 12 yrs old?

Well it's a curiosity to me that some fans continue to insist that ex-players who have no coaching experience and state they don't want to coach keep getting their names mentioned as a great potential head coach.
Yet time after time, either Kara Lawson or Tamika Catchings or Chamique Holdsclaw's names keep getting posted as the holy grail of UT head coaches if only the AD was smart enough to go after one of them.
It's one thing to posit that an ex-player might be a good coach if they go the Kellie Jolly route and be an assistant for a few years and then take over a small program and work their way up. That's one thing.
But an ex-player who has no intention of ever coaching?
There is some kind of psychological phenomena affecting posters here that needs explaining.

Delusional. Yes, we are in dire straits. We need a head coach that knows how to coach. It's not going to get any better with Holly no matter what assistants they hire. Why do people act like UTWBB is a program in dire straights needing to take a gamble on a coach? It used to be "hire Tyler Summitt"! The only + I can think of for his scandal was that the "hire Tyler" insanity disappeared.
This is the UTLV. Arguably the #1 brand in WCBB. Leadership with a pulse goes out and hires the absolute best that can be brought onto campus and pays whatever the cost. Outside of a handful, you will get a serious look from any candidate that you want. Or, we could just hire an assistant on staff and ... errr, I digressed.
We are not desperate and in need of throwing around "hail Mary's" to see if we can win big again.
