In the offseason I stated the linebackers was a concern on defense and several vols named 10 players that would be great.

Wouldn't surprise me if they pick on Crouch and Banks, over the middle. We all know slants work great, Stetson will have to deliver though. I'm interested if they can be really tough on the run game up front, if they can make Stetson throw because he has to. Along that line, also, if the front DL can get some pressure. Good DL play will help the linebackers a lot, if not it might be a long day.

I'm not saying they can't do it, I just looked at the roster and seen a group with no experience being the guy. Outside of HT of course. And yes stop the run and make the qb beat you. That will be the game plan for both teams.

This means that Jackson should have Sham, Alontae or Bryce on him every play leaving George for whoever is left. If we can beat Jackson physically and force everything to George and the running backs I like our chances. Take away 1 of young Stetson potter's favorite targets we might force him into some bad decisions.

Per the depth chart Banks is no longer co-starter. Crouch is listed as the sole starter for the first time. I wonder if this is a "motivation technique", is Banks dinged up, or will Banks role decline.

I think you’re putting too much stock into the accuracy of these depth charts.

I would not say Great, maybe adequate at most. He tries to make too many tackles by grabbing the runner rather than laying a shoulder to them and driving them back into the backfield.

Maybe that’s because he should still be playing running back......
