Per the depth chart Banks is no longer co-starter. Crouch is listed as the sole starter for the first time. I wonder if this is a "motivation technique", is Banks dinged up, or will Banks role decline.

It's game 3, I am hoping the extra coaching and experience shows. The talent is there. By next season I expect we will have the best Linebackers in the SEC

Heh, sometimes I try to see things through the eyes of our rival fans.

Like, with this thread. There are a handful of dawg fans visiting VN.com this week, and they see this thread appear, and us all getting excited that Sham is back...

...and they don't know much about our team, so a natural conclusion for them might be, "wow, this guy Shamburger, he must be their best DB, what a pity that he's back for them. But at least he can't be at full form, because it'll be his first game."

And we're like: no....No, he's just our 3rd-best DB. Bryce and Alontae are #1 and #2. Getting Sham back is great, it completes the chemistry we need for a solid backfield, but he's not the star.

Heh. I look forward to them being surprised about this during the game. Like, "wait. what? I thought that guy was...who the hell are these two????"

Go Vols!

Last game he made several tackles 8 yards down field. Ran back instead of down hill or down the los. But what do I know. Somebody will jump down my throat for saying truth.

In the offseason I stated the linebackers was a concern on defense and several vols named 10 players that would be great.

I think we will be Much improved in the next two years, if we have Spring practice next year and if we sign all our 2021 commitments. I also realize that we will likely lose To o To o ,Henry, to the NFL. LB are a very important position in Pruitt’s defense essential if we are to win the SEC in the near future.
