Shaq Wiggins to Rocky Top!

This is going to be a very interesting experiment. Jones may be the right kind of coach for Wiggins. If so... that will give Jones an opportunity to add a few "flakes" to the team each year to enhance talent.

What do you mean with the "flakes"?

was thinking frosted, which could be considered icing. Which could be like icing on the preverbial graduate transfer cake? Might be a stretch...

Great news! He could do well for us.

Shaq Wiggins told SEC Country Wednesday morning that’s he remains committed to Tennessee and will enroll as scheduled next week after visiting Mississippi State last weekend.

“It was a good visit (to Mississippi State), and I like coach (Dan) Mullen,” Wiggins said. “I just wanted to see what they had to offer, and I try to do things the right way.”

Wiggins cited his relationship with Warren and defensive coordinator Bob Shoop as reasons he’s sticking with Tennessee.

Wiggins is also friends with several of the players on the Tennessee football team who are from Georgia, as he was a star at Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone.

“I grew up around the Barry brothers, and I’ve been talking to all of the guys,” Wiggins said. “I know Nigel Warrior, Justin (Martin), (Todd) Kelley and (Emmanuel) Moseley … there are a lot of Georgia boys on the team, so it’s all good.”

This is such a good pick up. Excited to see him work!

CB: Martin / Baylen Buchanan
SS: Todd Kelly
FS: Abernathy
CB: SHAQ WIGGINS
NB: Rashaan Gaulden

throw in a little Nigel in the mix as well.. its gonna be a huge turnaround year for our secondary! I cant wait

Kelly/ Abernathy starting at Safties
Gaulden/Wiggins starting at CB

Add a LB. The 4-2-5 will not be our every down defense next year. Book it. Willie Martinez isn't here anymore.
