Shannon v. Wilcox

Does Shannon make us forget Wilcox? I don't know much about Shannon but what i hear he is a great coordinator. I hope he turns this Program around. I know its not confirmed yet that he is our coordinator but usually (not all the time) rumors are true.

Mike Shannon is the total package. Good Coach, Good Recruiter, and does a good interview. He would be a great addition to our staff.

He was a kid who died while eating Pop Rocks and drinking Pepsi Cola. It happened shortly after he shot a commercial for Life Cereal. Its a dangerous coctail folks. Just say no PR-P!

Shannon is a pretty good DC and a good recruiter also. Some of the recruiting might be just a bit overplayed because Miami to an extent recruits itself. Wilcox I think struggled because he was from a different part of the country but he wasn't as bad as some make him out to be. I think Shannon is an upgrade though. Sirmon was a monster on the recruiting trail. If we land Shannon and Napier like some have suggested and still have a Dline or LBer coach come in, we'll have upgraded IMO.

Shannon does have some controversy surrounding him though. He was one of the payout guys supposedly back in the day when he played. And the other crap surrounding Miami during his tenure as coach there but I doubt anything comes out of that for Shannon.

(My disclaimer: I'm glad to see Wilcox go. Way too passive and gimmicky. We can do much worse; but we can do quite a bit better.)

Shannon is much better at Xs and Os. Much more aggressive. Just what we need to climb out of the abyss.
