Shake up the Oline.

I wish they would give Bullard another look at center.

I agree ... Stone seems to continue to struggle with that right handed shotgun snap although this game was a vast improvement over the Florida game. The next two weeks may make or break him at the center position because he is going to be under EXTREME pressure.

Does anyone agree that this should fall on our offensive line coaches head???? I mean somebody has to take responsiblity for this and we have the same guys we had last year!?

I think so. I'd put Hiestand's resume up against most, but we just aren't seeing any results.

There's a reason the Bears fired him.

Can't do much worse than what we've seen so far to this point. I'd like to see Tiny get some PT

No way they can go the rest of the way without at least trying some new lineups. Bad snaps, no push at all. Simms isn't going to set in the pocket anyway, they have to try something.

Anybody heard about how Tiny and Jackson are coming along?

Obviously the fact that they're not starting says something, but are they progressing?

Hubbs has said that the coaches feel that they are both progressing nicely.

they could do worse. Imagine that.
Yeah they could have -100 yards or more against Florida and Georgia instead of just -29. Unless they just get out of the way and let the dline have a free shot at Simms. I can't see how it can get much worse.

They pass block great ..that is simple man scheme that allow them to play fast and assert themselves.

The whole run scheme is way to complex for them ..they are stopping and thinking instead of playing

Plus many of the formations telegraph their intent to run . If everybody in the stadium has an idea when they are gonna run ...you better believe the D on the field and the DCs know they are about to run. No fair to just blame the O linemen..seems to be a schematic issue

Many of their run plays take way too much time to develope in the backfield . Seems some standard between the tackle running and dive plays would be a better answer here .

None of the running backs are committed at the point of attack. If it was just one back I would say it was his fault ..but since it is all of them ...I would guess it is a coaching issue.

When you look at how a bunch of guys who could not tie their shoes under Sanders turned into a productive offense when Cut returned , or you see how a but of bozos running the Claw-fence responded when Kiffen inserted a simple zone blocking techique and some straight forward plays , you can draw a parallel here.

They need to make this offense less complex , disguise their play calling , and use quick hitting power runs and high percentage drive sustaining passes ( bubbles , screens ,waggles , ins , outs , slants ) while mixing in downfield attacks when the defense is not expecting it ( 2nd and 2 )

When they master that ..they need to then bring in multiple formations , pre-snap movement , and the exotic things .

I'm just not seeing enough toughness up front. Our run plays last night were way too slow-developing, and our RB play isn't great to begin with. Recipe for disaster.

Never remembered Purdue having much of a run game. They ran it better last year which is the puzzling thing.

We did better blocking for the run with guys like Gooch and the Sullins twins for goodness sakes. This is really unbelievable.
