Am I angry about the FL game?
Yes:realmad:

Am I concerned about CPF's ability to coach the team?
Absolutely :jpshakehead:

Have I given up on this football team?
Hell NO

And neither should you.

We've got 9 games left. Lets rally around our players, man! This season has just begun.

Go Big Orange

I haven't given up on this season. I see UT beating UGA and Arkansas.

Bama is up in the air. South Carolina slight edge to Spurrier.

Realistically, UT can run the table. It is not out of the question.

Will the staff make the necessary changes to keep this team alive? Time will tell.

But regardless of how this season plays out, I'll forever be a diehard Vols fan.

SWIL,

I don't think anyone has given up on the team. We never will. That is one of the best things about UT's fans, is that we're loyal to the school, rain or shine. That's why I honestly feel cheated by the AD. They know that we'll show up to games no matter what. They know that the stadium will sell >100k seats. If the posters on these forums didn't care, they wouldn't be here. Almost ALL of the criticism is towards Fulmer. He is PAID to win games, these guys are trying to win them for: Profession gains or team pride. Did you read Ryan Karl's comments? I can't quit, as a fan, on a player like that. And like I said, I don't think any fan here will. Since '98, the players have changed. Fulmer has not. The outcome has not. It isn't the players.

I understand it's a difficult situation for all of us. I'm just trying to offset all the doom-and-gloom that has invaded this board.

I'm proud to be a Vol fan and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season, baby! :peace2:

I am 110% behind the players, but they also need to get the pep back into their step and act like they are a team and not just out on the field as individuals....They need to get fired up and a couple of players need to take charge and make this happen....And someone please tell me how do good coaches let the game pass them by????:whistling:

I'm with you. Most people predicted we would be 1-2 at this point. It was just the manner that we lost. Hopefully the coaches, players, everyone is pissed. We need to let it all hang out. Play the younger players and be aggressive on offense and defense. And please, please do SOMETHING about punt and kick coverage. Go Big Orange!

I have given up on Phil Fulmer and company.
Bill Battle and Johnny Majors got fired for better records than Fulmer had these last 3 seasons.
Tennessee if mediocre and some of the fans are satisfied with that. I am not going to support players that quit during a game. We quit against the Gators. I will not ever go to another Phil Fulmer coached game.
UTK Alum and Doner.

WRONG we have a lot of great football left.

then they had better turn it up a notch or two on the feild. Look, Im behind the players and all that, and if Fulmer runs the board, then so what. They lost to Florida and Cal, both of which many suspected they would lose. Im not a big, (throw in the towl guy), but I am a huge, (get yall's butt in gear guy). Do work Vols.

That, and it doesn't change his record since '98. I hate to say it, but if he DOES run the board, he should retire honorably, and let someone else take the reins of a reinvigorated program.... another 5-6 season is just around the corner, if not worse, with the way player development is going. And still... giving up 600 yards and 24 points in a Quarter is NOT excusable. He has to get those kids to control their emotions and keep their heads high!
