Severe Weather Thread

I should have never left downtown. I should have stayed at work in the stairwell. If that was a tornado like the one that went through Alabama last year I'd be dead. Not smart on my part at all.

A good friend of mine was stuck in traffic for the Green Hills cell. Said the geo metro next to him was getting moved his way by the wind.

Work for the government and worked the Joplin tornado response last may. Just devastating. Hope everyone down there is taking cover and safe.

They're coming for me. Going to be a long night. Going to be hard to wake up at 430 with a warm and cuddly 4 yr old tucked into my arms.

I'm right between Dodson Branch and Jamestown up here on the Plateau. The tornado went over my town of Livingston, and stayed up until just getting towards Alpine. Lots of injuries, possible deaths, and many homes destroyed in the area from initial reports. My town got lucky.

I took my boat out of Island Cove a couple months back.
Good call I think.

You're near the marina?

Yep. About half a mile. We had our "wedding party" (reception) on the island at Island Cove when we got married. One of the best days of my life.

A friend has, had, their boat there. I heard earlier today they were pulling people out of the water who were on their boats.

Tornado spotted 23 minutes from me. Dallas, Paulding County, GA. Currently under tornado warning in Cobb. Going to be a long night. Feeling pretty nervous. I am by myself except for the dogs.

In all seriousness, stay safe. Keep an eye out and keep flashlights and matches ready.
