Severe Weather Thread

Headed my way. Tornado watch until 1:00 am March 1st for counties just north of mine. I hope everyone is alright in Tennessee. Sorry to hear about the death Nerd.

We're gonna need this thread for tomorrow. I already read that some schools in Alabama are closing at noon tomorrow due to the imminent tornado outbreak.

It appears the worst will develop once it gets past Memphis and that Middle TN, central Kentucky and North/central Alabama will get the worst. This is just based on the different meteorologists I've been reading off of.

The FD from the NWS in Nashville doesn't sound good at all. Sounds like conditions may be worse than they were already anticipating.

For what area? For Middle Tennessee it still has it at a moderate risk from around 2:00 through 7:00; or 12:00 to 6:00 depending on what station you're watching.

Tor:Con has been raised to an 8 for North-Central TN.

Hardin County schools out too. I've never heard of schools closing for bad weather before.

Does it look like most of the worst stuff will develop in Middle Tennessee? How is Memphis/West TN looking? How is Brighton looking?

Al Roker just said something to the effect that there is an area today (the Nashville area and north of there) that can expect the tornadoes that will stay on the ground for a long time, not the short lived. I think this is starting to sound like it could be like the tornado outbreak from last year.

I was thinking of heading north of Nashville to my in-laws since they have a basement, but since I'm south of Nashville I think I'll stay put.

Everyone in the area obviously be aware but especially those of you in north central TN and central KY be on alert. Right now it looks like you guys are going to get the worst.
