Severe Weather Thread

I bet

Its a 50 degree temp difference from me to you. Its 63 degrees here now

That's awesome...not. I hate the cold. My mom lives 1.5 hours away and got a light dusting while we got pounded and further north don't even think about driving anywhere. My city is probably the least prepared city in the country. I saw 1 snow plow all day. Ridiculous.

Currently 54 degrees in Knoxville, been storming here since 5:30 this morning, lots of thunder and lightning. Currently the rain sounds like water being poured from a bucket onto a flat rock.

The situation brewing tomorrow could become dangerous

Storm Chasers are moving into Mississippi to begin chasing as the storms begin to fire up tomorrow afternoon and evening

Make sure to pay very close attention to the weather tomorrow evening and into the night in Tn, Ms, and Al

According to the Memphis news, greatest threat window is 4-12 this evening. Moderate risk classification as well. Bulk of that zone was MS. High of 70 today.

Where are you? Sounds like York, Pa.

Most of the worst will be concentrated in North and Central Mississippi. Most of the chasers are staging up in that area. I think Memphis will be the northern boundary of the worst weather

The storms will begin to fire over Eastern Arky and North La. They will move east/northeast into the area, building a squall line as they enter parts of West Tn, Mississippi and Middle Tn.

Once the squall line builds, the threat of tornadic activity will decrease. Pay very close attention to the supercells ahead of the squall line. This will be the storms that drop most of the tornadoes

The wind sheer in the atmosphere is ripe for the development of tornadoes, so stay alert
