I haven't been outside for more than 10 minutes all week. Heat has severely adverse consequences on my health. I HATE summers like this. I imagine that it's fairly difficult on you Yanks that aren't as accustomed to the high heat as well.

Yeah, 2-3 days like this a year usually. This summer has been unusually hot, just as the winter was unusually brutal.

For all the heat, we still havent set any records

Typical summer for us

Most of the records were set in the '30s, 50's, early 80's for this time of year

A few records here, but the crazy part, in my eyes, comes from the duration of the high temps.

Thats what happens when that southern jet gets a ridge in it and allows all that heat to flow north. On top of that, you get those high pressure entrencheds and there is nothing to move it

It sucks. I know that. We've not had the midwest heat here, but it's bad enough. Cool fall air can't get here soon enough for me.
