Severe Weather Thread

That's about as close as you can get.

Too close for my liking, LOL. You can definitely tell my wife is the daughter of a Sailor (24 years, retired as a Senior Chief).......because the string of cuss words that came out of that girl's mouth when she found out that he stood there and watched it would have made Andrew Dice Clay blush. But then again, she's always been a "daddy's girl".....LOL.

Had to rush off for a few. Storms are firing up in East Arkansas. Expect some to become tornadic very soon.

Reed Timmer mentioned that this could be an historic tornado outbreak for this area.

He said the same thing about Alabama on April 27th

Be safe! I will keep things updated as long as possible

Probably so!

I prefer Todd over on WREG3

I'd rather not see any of them. Sure you'd agree with that.

I did enjoy watching Dave in late April's event - he accidentally bumped his iPhone in his pocket which started to play music while live. He stopped and asked why there was music in his earpiece until he realized his phone was the source.

Great, could Brighton take a direct hit and what time should the storms start rolling through?

Can't tell you that

If I could, I would be very wealthy

With a TORCON of 9, there is a 90% chance that a strong tornado will occur within a radius of 50 miles of your area and mine

Any updates on ETA's for the West Tennessee gang?

I'm hearing 5-10pm for Memphis for the most severe potential. Will start with isolated cells and then advance to a line of "complex" activity ~5-7pm. Lingering cells 10pm-12am.

I just stayed at a Holiday Inn last night. :)

I remember that. I thought it was great comic relief for the situation.

I always watch channel 3 and channel 5 for severe weather coverage. I think Dave Brown is the best ,and he has the best equipment (VTI) ,but Tim Simpson and Jim Jaggars work very well together on channel 3.

Hopefully it turns into a linear system quickly. We don't need any isolated supercells.

Channel Three here in Memphis has asked if anyone knows of any storm shelters around the area, haven't seen that before.
