I bet those Cal hippies would never do a shirt honoring the military. Rock on US fighting men and women

and kudos to Oregon for their support.

Padres wear camo jerseys every Sunday home game for Military appreciation day and their admission is free.

Selfishly, I'd be really bummed if my first (and probably only) game at Neyland was filled with people wearing navy blue! I want to see a sea of orange --- with a small army of green/yellow!

Why couldn't they make the shirt orange with the power T having the stars and stripes?

WEAR ORANGE PEOPLE!

There is no way there will be a "small army" of green and yellow in Knoxville.

San Diego is completely different from the Bay Area...not that I necessarily agree with the OP, but still.

I posted on the first page that Oregon did the Support The Troops jerseys during spring game :p along wit ha pic :eek:hmy: haha, but i think Tenn should do something like that, it would be cool, and our troops deserve something like that.

Um...why not?
I don't keep up with Oregon athletics that much, really at all, but do you think you all will travel that well, this far East? I expect the visitors sections to be mostly full with Oregon fans, its just a question?

Yes, I do. You'll be surprised.

Tennessee should do like Oregon did and make Support the Troops themed jerseys and then give then to troops after the game. Such a thoughtful thing to do by Chip Kelly. In all seriousness we have the money to do it, its not a bad idea.

Am I the only one not comfortable with the tie in between September 11th and "support our troops"? I think they're both great ideas but mixing in the two to me .. I dunno. Shouldn't September 11th be about the fire fighters and police officers who died trying to save peoples lives?

WOW, A SHIRT! I'm sure everyone serving overseas will be thankful that, you... Mr. Superpatriot, will be wearing a shirt with a small flag print on it!

They way i look at it is no matter what it is.... a shirt , a ribbon on a tree, a bumper sticker on a car or even a pin or button on your shirt, If it makes you or others take time to remeber the sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform, its certainly not trivial.
