If Oklahoma wasn't his alma mater, where he won a National Championship, I wouldn't be worried, but they are ... and so I am.Honestly... I haven't thought of OU as a threat for Heupel. Most of the folks involved in firing him are still there. They wouldn't want to eat crow. He is probably wary of working with them again.
Also... Norman isn't any easier to recruit to than Knoxville. They're about to be just another fish in the pond instead of one of two bass in a fish tank full of guppies. My guess is that had something to do with Riley's departure.
If Heupel were to leave UT IMO it will be for a job where it is easier to recruit with all else being equal.
LSU is screwed, period. I think CBN was to be their main target and UF got him first . . . If OU gets CBV LSU will be in much worse shape than they are right now. Plus, I do not believe that CMC from the Ducks is interested in coming to the south, much less the SEC.
This leaves Fickell and a few other lower tier coaches to choose from.
LSU is screwed, blued and tattooed . . . and ole Ed walks off into the sunset, or on to the beaches, with about $17M in the bank.

Just be prepared to read some explicit profanity, the likes of which, I haven't seen on sport's message boards before. Last night, their moderators gave up on trying to keep things under control. It's a free for all against Lincoln Riley. Anything goes. They were even insulting his young children - I'm not kidding!Somebody check in on the Oklahoma fans, they are freaking out and having a hard time.

They are but he's not from Oklahoma. He doesn't have family there. The family he thought he had... betrayed him... badly. And that's only his half of it.If Oklahoma wasn't his alma mater, where he won a National Championship, I wouldn't be worried, but they are ... and so I am.
I can't say you have nothing to worry about. I just don't think you have much to worry about from OU and Heupel.I'll be glad when this is over. I've recently been diagnosed with chronic high blood pressure. Another UT football coaching search might just kill me.
