First of all, I don't think Dooley should be fired. However, tonight he made some dumb calls. It is simple football math. If you have a chance to kick a 44 yard fg to make the game one possession, kick the fg.

No, not everyone will be gone at once. We are young now because of the coaching turnover and 45 scholarship players leaving in three years. You recruit to replace players that graduate or enter the draft. You really don't understand how this works?

Amazing how many people defend Dooley on this site. I'm not calling for the "fire tonight" threads but lets be objective about what he's done and what he hasn't done. A good coach gets more out of his talent and his players are disciplined and play hard every play till the whistle. He's a nice guy, he's got great one liners, his pants are fantastic...but give me one piece of evidence that the guy can coach in the SEC.

I don't know what to think. The play calling was horrific. A freshman qb and no rb or wr screens, quick slants and short timing passes to build confidence. Why was Neal or Lane not used? The on side kick to start the half was not a good idea. Having Worley throw it on second down from the 5 was not good. Run a different run. Use Devrin a little . Having Simms throw on 4 and 1 late in the game was also not a good call. This team lacks discipline. The false start with UT on the 20 early in the game turned into a missed fg. I just don't know about the staff anymore but I don't think a coaching change helps UT right now. The defense is looking better. With Randolph emerging at safety, they have gotten better. Maybe Chaney should be moved to the Oline and UT should bring in a new OC and RB coach.

My thing is we just need a change you can not tell me vandy has more talent than us. There is no way we should be 0-5 this year it's a joke.

I'm sticking with Dooley because he comes up with imaginative game plans that get the best out of the talent we have. Plus, his clock management is impeccable. :crazy:

Yes, this team is young. Yes, it has been decimated by injuries. Yes, it's short on talent. But once -- just once, mind you -- I'd love to see Tennessee stop running Poole off-tackle and spread the field and exploit the talent they have. Maybe a bubble screen to Young? I wonder if Chaney even knows what a bubble screen is.

You Dooley apologists need to wake up and realize that this team is not well coached. Look at what Saban had done at this point in his second year at Alabama. They were hitting their blocks and making their tackles and were on their way to greatness.

If you disagree, please tell me ONE thing that shows that our boys are being well coached.

Volnation makes me see a side of Tennessee fans that I hate. People on here are just stupid (the guy that started this thread). I don't know if i can last week after a loss with these people.

Yeah I'm not smart. I just want a change something has to give. I don't give a damn what y'all think of me at all. I want to win and I want to win now ,or at least compete soon and right now we are not doing either.
