Let's be honest tho, Tenn gets gashed more often tban not on the ground.

Could be better but between the muffed punt and two picks we basically spotted them 21 on a short field. If special teams alone had done their jobs better we don’t even go to overtime.

This crapshow of a game started on the muffed punt. We get that quick three and out, go down and score they hang their heads a little. Tennessee likes to start fast and we didn’t really do it today. Luckily we still found a way.

I mean the same ones giving up some of those big runs are getting sacks and TFL. In OT, MSU had it first and goal at the 5. They didnt gash our D then.
I was shocked they got the FGs against Georgia late in the game when it looked like GA was about to bust it wide open. They are feast or famine for sure. They did enough at Georgia to give Gilbert a shot. Obviously did enough today. Not going to be good enough for Bama and OU *if* Mateer is back. Can they stop Pavia?

The defense in total team defense is ranked 109 out of 136 schools. Giving up 29 points a game. 260 yards passing / 114 yards rushing (I thought this number would be higher).

14th in team defense in the SEC . . . Only ahead of Kentucky and Arkansas.

This team is not good on defense. The stats don’t lie. Yes, we generated 14 points in this last game . . . But the defense has serious issue in tackling / pass coverage / setting the edge in run defense.

If we get some guys healthy and playing maybe that changes. We desperately need McCoy to return.

This defense allowed Miss St to score 34 points. Not UGA. Not Bama. Miss St scored 34 points on us. That’s embarrassing. Look at our remaining schedule. We’re in serious trouble.
Three of their four TD drives were 20 yards, 26 yards and 17 yards. Clearly "embarrassing" is the appropriate term here.
