My group of 4 were watching game minding our own business, my cousin's husband a GA fan, the other 3 of us TN fans. 2 TN fans came over from the other side of the section during the 4th Quarter and began to take his hat off of his head tearing the hat, then they began swinging at him trying to hit him. My husband was trying to get them off of him and stop the attack. Finally the other TN fans around us, helped us and broke up the fight. The attacker that had torn his hat and started the fight left, the other attacker found an usher and was trying to get my cousin's husband arrested! The police came, but of coarse that guy had left as well! Thank you to the TN fans around us who told the police officer what happened and backed us up. I love the VOLs and have been always been a VOLs fan, but honestly I was so embarrassed that there are some true red neck TN fans that would behave this way and then try to cause more trouble by lying. My cousin is pregant and in her TN VOL shirt, was sitting next her husband when the red necks began their attack.

But would never attack anyone because they are cheering for there team. And they did show there true red neck side and became stupid. We are just glad no one went to jail.

That is why they have special sections for the disabled.

good in theory if

a) they had enough special sections for every disabled person

and

b) not every person is disabled enough to warrent a special section. Bad backs, bad knees, bad legs dont get you disabled.

Again, respect others and you'll get respect. Not that difficult to understand.

The attack seems to have been warranted IMO, JMHO, TFWIW

Yeah that's not how it went down. If your cousin's husband wasn't being an obnoxious, douche punk and hadn't taunted the guys continuously it would have never happened. I saw it from a section over so don't try to lie like the OP.

Obviously you were to far away to see anything or hear anything. Because he never once even referred anything towards the guys or agianst Tenn. He was just cheering for his team and yelling at the officals for not making calls. Thats it.

Like he should have been. We were lucky to finally get calls our way. UGA got away with pass interference like three times and Vereen got called for it twice which was clearly not the case. I watched the replay and it seemed the espn commentators agreed....

And he even agreed on the calls that was not made. I know how the games and fans are Vols fans would have been all over him if the game was reversed around but he would have never attacked anyone. :peace2:

So, following that logic, you easily respect my right to stand the whole game, right? Or, does it only apply in cases where you deem it appropriate for someone to stand? I like to stand the whole game. I get a kick out of people who sit the whole game, except for the halftime show, timeouts, and injuries. I mean, just do the opposite and it's about the same?!

what are the people around you doing? if you're the only one standing then you think what you do is more important than what others are doing. Just because you feel its time to stand doesnt mean others do too. There might be a reason why that guy behind you isnt standing.

Being respectful of others enjoyment of the game goes along way to being a man.

Allow me to recap....as you can see, we have a situation here...a whole lot of azz kicking gonna happen. I think we best organize this thing or it could get ugly.

Next...the guy who wants to cope a feel...grannie is at the Waffle House, waiting on ya.

If it is really you, you old bastard, meet me at amsterdams. Don't send your son to try to fight me.

Im not going to come to you, **** you, be a man. Don't come At me like you did. Do you live in Chattanooga, because I will find you

So why didn't you fight him? Knock it off with the call-out on VN, get in his face, and tell him to shut his piehole. If he doesn't, then deck his ass.

So, I should get my cues from those around me, but then stand when I (that's me by the way) feel it's appropriate? What if they don't feel that way? Should I sample everyone's feelings around me so that I am perceived to be respectful? I really don't care that much about everyone's take on what I should do. Particularly at a freaking football game. You know, where people go to cheer, since they can sit on their hands at home and be respectful to those who like to actually cheer at the games. I think we should have the cheerleaders sit down so the front row people can see better.

I disagree. This team needs all the help it can get and the crowd needs to show some enthusiasm. I will continue to stand and scream at random moments that I seem fit. I'm no internet tough guy and I'm not going to stand here and bang my chest ,but at the games if I'm asked to sit down then your request will be DENIED

I just don't understand the people who wants the fans to sit down.. smh why do you think the seats are so uncomfortable... If someone wanted to sit down, I would suggest you do it in your living room.. GO VOLS!!:eek:k:
