The SEC's red-hot rivalries heading into 2009 - SEC - ESPN

UF v UT is #1, big surprise. he doesnt take this from a perspective beyond the 2009 season, otherwise that wouldnt be the #1 game. UT v somebody makes the list 3 times though. a little surprised the UGA game or even the Auburn game isnt included, seeing that its two new coaches v one another.

"Urban Meyer revels in running up the score, and Lane Kiffin revels in running his mouth."
--he cant let it go.

...and again at the end of the list

"In his heyday, Steve Spurrier was the master at getting in some digs at his biggest rivals. He has some competition now with Kiffin, who's rocked a few boats and hasn't backed down from anything in his first seven months on the job. Of course, one guy has six SEC titles, and the other has never coached an SEC game."

He's right about UT/UF, it will be all we hear about the week leading up to it....If there's not any other great games on that weekend, Gameday may make a trip to Gainsville

yeah, this year the best rivalry game will be UT/UF. on a yearly basis, its been too lopsided for me to agree.

i wouldnt be surprised if GameDay is there that weekend. corso might suffocate in the heat wearing the gator head though...

If you said you had only been watching for the past 4-5 years, yeah its been pretty lopsided...Since Spurrier was there and used Phil as his whipping boy its been pretty bad too but its been close games until the last couple years.....That don't make it OK that we lost by no means but it gets pretty intense, this year won't be any different but I think we lose again this year but you never know

That being said did anyone else see some kind of state where they have won 13 out of the last 18 games or something like that? I knew they had won a lot in the rivalry lately but I didn't think it was that much

I'm not even sure if I will be able to watch UF vs. UT this year. I would get really, really pissed during the game.

i intend on countering such anger with greater amounts of beer. that way, my inner UT fandom may mix with my outward drunkenness, and i may just convince myself that the "100" is ours and the "0" is UF :)
