SEC's gap with the rest of college football keeps growing. Can anyone stop it?

You’re making my point for me dude, if the sec schools didn’t care nor did the schools that beat them!!! Even playing field and most sec schools lost their bowl games, I know this is difficult for you.

Possible but highly doubtful. Look at this years recruiting rankings. Almost half of the top 25 are SEC teams. The past 10-15 years the SEC has been the dominate conference. Likely not gonna change.

One of the reasons I am growing to like NCAA basketball more and more. There is definitely more parity in basketball than football. Just look at some of the smaller school’s who are competitive. This would never happen in football. Much less cost to support a basketball program than football.

The gap is only going to get larger. Jimbo and Kirby can now sell recruits that they have beaten Nick Saban whenever he had the more talented team this year along with the Heisman trophy winner to boot. There is a chink in the armor and those two programs are going to take full advantage for the foreseeable future. And right on cue, we will have to play all of them in 2023 whenever Texas A&M joins the SEC Championship conversion.

It only sucks because we have had issues with getting our house in order. It has been almost a quarter of a century since it was.

And if it is finally in order? Both of them are going to say it sucks they have to play Tennessee every year.

Everyone can make excuses but the fact is the SEC laid an egg in their bowl games this year.

Considering there were players who couldn't read after attending the University of Tennessee to play football I would argue it hasn't been about education in 60 years. College football has been a farming league for decades, and players have been getting paid (by even UT) for longer than you or I have been alive. What you think it's evolving into, it has been already... Again for decades.

By design the SEC was at a disadvantage in matchups since they had 2 teams in the playoff. That meant two fewer teams to slot in automatic bids, thus Ole Miss was slotted against the Big 12 Champion. This had a ripple effect on down the line in many other bowls such as Outback, Citrus etc

What would be cause for excitement? Maybe the conference being in the title game year in and out for the last two decades? How many people have to tell you nicely that you’re wrong before you understand? Talent wins championships, talent equals wins in the win/loss column. No one really cares about anything else.
