Maybe because Manning and Herbstreit are right. We did run away a tier 2 coach. No allegations against Schiano have been proven. Do a little research. Now we are stuck in this massive predicament.

Like you said, he was a two tier coach, so you can take Sandusky issue out window and he still shouldn't have been called!!!

Sadly, Peyton really isn't qualified to run an organization such as the Browns.

Running an offense is nowhere in the same league as being able to run a multi-million dollar business.

I manage multimillon dollar budgets.. I woudln't let Peyton touch them.

You do realize that Peyton is considered one of the smartest guys ever to play the game right? (rhetorical question).

He also owns numerous PJs franchises (21-30) which likely generate, conservatively, $17M - $24M annually. So who is it that may not be qualified to run a multimillion dollar budget?

Additionally, he would very likely have a robust staff to run the numbers for him and the experience to make sure they made sense. The rest comes down to football knowledge that we can all agree would be his strength.

Until Manning himself makes a statement about the coaching source situation I will not believe anything that is said about him on here.

It’s not an opinion. He was actively involved in trying to hire him. Now, Schiano is probably gonna sue us. Actions have consequences and so does not being in tune with your customers.

Any attorney feedback would be great but imo I don’t think Shiano sueing UT is a foregone conclusion. If McQueary was telling the truth in the deposition, Schiano sueing UT could expose Schaino to some very uncomfortable truths. He might decide it is best to drop it.
