Oklahoma State and the rest of the big-12 were exposed by a mediocre at best oregon team last year. a simple look at OSU's record against top-25 teams the past couple years tells you all you need to know.

As for lsu/uw, SEC teams havent' exactly had a good run on the road in the pac-10 (uw is a hard place to play when full too), LSU unquestionably will think they will roll UW, and locker will likely give them some problems until he has his annual season ending injury. also UW massively improved their coaching staff and actually have some decent players.

oh and i'd bet the farm ASU covers the spread against Georgia the next week.

LSU will roll Washington. I love Locker but the quality of players and the depth is not even close.

Oklahoma St. will scare Georgia., but ASU a couple of weeks later will not be in the same league. Georgia will have already been tested by then. Again the talent level is just not close. Okie St. is very skilled on offense.

Out of these games I see NC st. as the most likely upset. USCe is on the way down, far down. I see them finishing last in the East this year.

Watch out for Jackson St. as well. close game.

Alabama/ Virginia Tech. is the best game of the week. It will be a defensive battle, but tech just can't hang with SEC talent. Julio Jones will prove to be the difference in this game. Tight but Bama pulls it out.

Surprised so many think Fla will allow points...

Must mean we'll be able to score 20+....

No offense to speak of... but I'll take Spurrier over O'Brien.

UK: 55
Miami (Ohio): 24
Inverse of the South Carolina game... gonna go with Rich Brooks and a more talented than usual UK team.

UT: 38
WKU: 10
It's going to take us a minute to get into rhythm as a team, and while WKU isn't the most talented team in the world... it is a IA football team who could take advantage of mistakes.

UGA: 42
Okie St: 24
Outside of OU, any Big12 team would have trouble competing in a game like this due to a near total lack of defense.

Jackson St: 0
Miss. St: 18
Meh...

Louisiana Tech: 14
Auburn: 17
Little more interested, but only slightly above meh.

Missouri St: 0
Arkansas: 70
Very bad IA team, vs. a mercenary coach who is still upset about last season.

Charleston Southern: 3
UF: 59
Just like everyone else, Florida isn't going to be crisp until they get a few series in. Can't believe I'm having to explain in a negative fashion why Florida will win a game by 56.

Western Carolina: 3
Vandy: 49
See Kentucky...

Alabama: 35
VT: 3
I don't think Alabama is that much better than VT, but I don't like the Beamer vs. Saban matchup with this much time to prepare. Alabama is going to march down the field methodically and cut VT's heart out.

LSU: 59
Washington: 7
LSU fans want blood after last season... he will run the score up in Washington's home stadium if he can. Unfortunately, I do think LSU is going to fall off pretty steeply in the next several seasons.

Ole Miss: 21
Memphis: 14
Memphis looks at Ole Miss very similarly to they way they look at Tennessee, which means they generally play their hardest against both teams... while their opponent sleepwalks for a half. Really believe Memphis will be in this game at the end.
