I doubt very seriously that the dt's heading to florida will see the field.

They return all their interior d-lineman from last season.

I will take that bet immediately. Omar Hunter will start and so will Marsh, but with the way we rotate DL, these kids are gonna play alot.

Personally I havent been all that impressed by either Jones or Moore. They are average to good at best IMO.

Agreed. I'm always waiting for Jones to get into another gear and then it just never happens....I think what's telling about how incredible this receiving class can be is that I had completely forgot about Justin Hunter until someone wrote about him in this thread. It was like waking up thinking it's Wednesday, but really it's Friday. Hunter, Meline, Rogers, Milton....good God. How are defenses going to defend these guys in a few years when our line and QB have seasoning?

I agree, but I think Moore showed some ability to stretch the field some last year. That being said, he is not nearly as fast as Rogers, Meline, or Hunter are rumored to be so they may take his spot.

b.s. I'd take Denarius in a foot race vs. any of those guys, except maybe Meline. Denarious has been our deep threat the last 2 years. 4.4 speed.

Powell and Easley will probably play a lot at DE this year, although Easley will end up at DT in the long run.

Floyd will only play if he is absolutely dominant, because UF is deep and talented at DT this year.

I think the obvious one they are missing for Florida is Chris Dunkley. UF was lacking playmakers last year, and if Dunkley has a good Fall, he could easily play right away.

Dont forget about Rajion Neal. This kid is gonna come in and make a huge impact. He has all the tools to become a great back.He is getting faster and stronger. He is 215lbs and running 4.29 in the 40 when he was clocked during is training at his high school.

Gerald Jones and Denarius Moore will have a lot to say about that. FWIW, 3 0f those top 10 incoming frosh are on UF defensive line...ouch!

Rogers has more upside than Moore. Given solid OL/QB play, he should have a good year with opposing defenses focused on Stocker and Jones.

As for UF, I think Chris Low forgot we return our top 4 DTs from last season. I expect one if not 2 of our incoming freshmen DTs to redshirt. Powell will definitely play.

I agree with you about Tennessee's WRs. Moore is fast and a pretty damn good athlete but drops have always been a problem. They don't just go away when you're a senior.

As a Tennessee fan, I want all the freshmen DLs for Florida to play prominent roles. It's never good to have true freshmen at any spot on the LOS.

Moore sounds a lot like Deonte Thompson. He had the dropsies early on last year, Tebow lost confidence in him and keyed on Hernandez and Cooper.

I expect Powell to play and eventually start at DE opposite Justin Trattou. If Easley plays this fall, it will be at DE, not DT. I can't remember the last time UF was this stacked at DT. I can easily see Orr and Floyd redshirting.

Good comparison for the WRs. It'll be interesting to see who Bray/Simms feels most comfortable getting the ball to in tough situations. Powell is a BEAST, that guy looked like an NFL player at the army game. Unreal combination of size and athleticism. You guys are definitely stacked at DL for the next few years.

um...no. Neal gets garbage minutes at best. And if Bryce comes back, garbage minutes become no minutes.

I think UT's receivers will take the pressure off whoever plays QB. You guys have a veteran group, and you get Austin Rogers back. Even with all that talent it will be damn near impossible keeping Da'Rick off the field.

The million dollar question is whether or not your new o-line plays like a cohesive unit.

Wait a minute, when did we get a unit? First we need bodies before it matters if they're cohesive...

1. Marcus Lattimore, South Carolina: Steve Spurrier hopes a sound running game will take some pressure off Stephen Garcia but Lattimore will only be as good as the Gamecocks' offensive line.

2. DeMarcus Millner, Alabama: Nick Saban's specialty is the secondary and Millner has the tools to step right in to the Alabama lineup.

3. Da'Rick Rogers: Tennessee: The question is who will get him the ball, but Rogers was a big-time steal from Georgia and should have immediate impact.

4. Michael Dyer, Auburn: Don't the Tigers always have a great running back? They will again this year if Dyer can make the adjustment to big-time college football.

5. Ronald Powell, Florida: One of the big questions for the Gators is defensive end where both starters are gone. Powell will be able to step in and supply a pass rush.

I find it interesting that he is ranked ahead of Dyer. I look for Dyer to ball out.
