W4 Auburn (winner plays E1 Florida)
E5 Georgia

LSU is a tough match for UT because of there size. Is big Baby playing in this game?

Please tell me Big Baby is playing. With him, LSU isn't near as athletic and he seems to be a thorn in their side. They play more motivated without him. Either way, it won't be easy. To be honest, this is a very wide open tourney and I wouldn't be surprised to see any team, except for South Carolina, win.

Personally, I think they're more dangerous with him. Just an opinion, but they did beat UF without him.

Seth Greenburg? of CBS just projected Tennessee as a 4-seed. We must do well next week.

With the other top seeds being OSU, TXAM, and MD. Id like our chances there

This is going to be one of the most wide-open, competitive SEC tourneys that I can remember. It should be a lot of fun to watch.

You must be nuts. If he plays we will have to double him inside. He has NBA talent.!

No, I just think he is overrated. That NBA caliber player got held down by our freshman center earlier this year.

They swept UK. We both split against UF, we split against each other and had the same conference schedule.

I think it goes conference record, then head to head, and then you start at the top team in the division and go down.

Yeah. If two teams are tied and split with each other, it goes by divisional record, and then you move down the list starting at the top. Vandy has a better divisional record. Had UK won today and created a 3-way tie, it would have gone by head-head-head, and Vandy's sweep of UK would have carried the day. Had either UK or SC pulled it out against Vandy this week, UT would have gotten a bye. Then again, we had our chances to earn it on our own. That's ok. I feel better now than I did this time last year. I am only cautiously optimistic, however. Not getting to the semis for 15 consecutive years has a way of tempering expectations.

I don't think we have made it past Thursday since Allan Houston was playing.:cray:

We have played on Friday several times. Since the conference went to two divisions, however, we are the only team in the league not to play on Saturday.

It goes conference record, then head to head, then division record (which is where Vandy beats us,) then down through the teams. I posted the entire rule from SEC.org in another thread about this topic.

EDIT: Check it here http://www.volnation.com/forum/tennessee-vols/26587-seeding-question-2.html

i think if we can get past the first couple of games (which will obviously be a very big accomplishment), we will have a good chance of winning it all just because of our depth...

I hope we can beat LSU on thursday night and then come in Friday and ruin Ole Piss's chances at a NCAA bid

I say Tennessee wins on Thursday against LSU and again on Friday against Ole Miss. Semifinal game against Florida would be extremely tough, seeing how Tennessee just beat them.
