Hey guys give me your dark horse pick for the SEC tournament.Mine is LSU.Ever since their new coach has taken over they seem to be playing out of their minds.Keep in mind how they almost beat us.Their playing very well right now.

Absent a significant Vols collapse, I just don't see anyone being able to compare to UT. I think Pearl understands the significance of winning that tournament, not from an NCAA seeding perspective, but from a conference domination perspective. And I think he will impart that to the players and they will be enthused, hold nothing in reserve.

But, should UT have a letdown, I think you have to consider Florida as a legitimate dark horse in the SEC tournament. They are going to be a low seed, and deservedly so. But they have shown periods of, say, 12-15 minutes of quality play. In the big games, however, they have just not maintained that and that of course is a function of youth.

But if they put it all together and caught a better team on a slightly off night, they could win it.

I would probably say Florida.....I want to say Vandy but I don't like the Dores on a neutral court.

I wouldn't consider Vandy a darkhorse seeing that they are going to be close to a top-10 ranking come Monday afternoon.

Honestly, no team has played that well on neutral and road games. Tennessee obviously has been the best. Florida is actually 5-5 on N/R, so possibly them, but really, it should be a UT vs. Miss St/Vandy type championship.

taking Arky. they need the wins and have enough horsepower to do it. Any guard play at all and they have a shot at anyone.

Patterson's injury gives UF a great shot at making the Dance. Beat MSU at home and win at Patterson-less UK, and they finish 10-6 in the league.

UT and Vandy are the top 2 teams, by far. Miss State could get hot, but can't beat UT.

Tennessee was tired, but that will not be an issue in the NCAA tourney. You have to also figure in the mental fatique of playing at Memphis then going to Nashville against an undefeated at home Vandy team I was proud of this team for giving themselves a chance at the end no one else has come close to beating Vandy at home.

You might think I'm crazy but I think Auburn will be the biggest surprise. I am by no means stating that they can contend.
