I'm pretty surprised that Gerald Jones and Major Wright didn't make the list. Eric Berry is good where he's at. Saying Tebow is only good in the spread is like saying Berry is only good in a 4-3. I can't get enough of Eric Berry, but I am a Vol who can admit that Tebow is probably the best CFB player I will ever see.

Except the 4-3 has nothing to do with what the DBs do and the spread has everything to do with what the QB does.
In all honestly, I don't think the G Jones has done enough to deserve mention as a top 30 player in the SEC. To be fair, he was hampered by the QB play last year, but regardless of QB play, he'll need to start making explosive plays to be on this kind of list.
What are you talking about? 4-3, 3-4, and 3-3 all have a lot to do with defensive assignments. I am not arguing against Berry. All I am saying is how do you know Tebow is only good in the spread when that is all you've seen?
Those pairs of numbers describe the number of linemen and linebackers. Has nothing to do with defensive backs besides the number of them.
The idea of Tim Tebow as a pro-style quarterback is highly debatable.

Have you ever played safety? Have you ever switched between 3 and 4 linebackers? Your coverage assignment changes based on what the linebackers are doing. It's different. Especially in a 3-3-5, which many colleges run.

The main reason Tebow hasn't played pro-style is they have been weak at RB. This year they are stronger at that position and lo and behold, Meyer has confidence in Tebow to put him under center. We'll see how it works. All I am saying is we don't know. We haven't seen. Meyer is smarter (football mind)than me, and has seen.
Well because he is projected to be a te or fb in the pros is one indicator. But I'm sure you know more than pro scouts.

sometimes I think Low writes crap like that just because everyone knows he is a Tennessee homer...so, to come off as unbiased, he will write some ignorant crap like that...to even suggest that Jevan Snead is better than Berry, based on their production thus far, is crazy.Berry is solid, he is the best NFL prospect in the SEC for sure, so the conflict Chris had with Berry and Jevan is a joke.
