Obviously not surprising, but now official.

SEC To Allow Immediate Eligibility for Intraconference Transfers

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.(June 3, 2021) - The Southeastern Conference announced it will allow immediate eligibility for intraconference transfers following a vote today by the SEC's Presidents and Chancellors.

The change in policy, which takes effect immediately, will better align with NCAA legislation adopted in April 2021 that established a universal one-time transfer opportunity applicable to student-athletes across all sports.

As a result of the SEC's new policy, student-athletes who transfer directly within the Conference will no longer be required to serve an automatic year in residence at their new school before being eligible for competition.

I’m more interested in how Bama never misses a beat no matter the coach or player turnover

Exactly

They have an Fort Knox tight illegal system of paying there is no doubt
I don't know how it's done NOW...but a very long time ago...( late 1960's...) when I was being recruited by a Bama coach, the technique explained to me was anonymous envelopes of CASH slipped under the doors in the player's dorm on the night before games.
Again....that was a long time ago, and I'm SURE everything is totally legit now.

The constant is Saban.

Their overall official record under Saban is 165-23 (. 878) (170–23 on the field), 19 bowl game appearances with 14 victories, 8 SEC West titles, 7 SEC championships, and 6 national championships.

Good point even the greatest coaches have had a down season or two other than his first 7-6 season in 2007 Nick hasn’t had one. A 10-3 or 11-2 season is a down year for him. Bear even had a down stretch in the late 60’s.

This transfer rule of course will hurt the Vols more than help but I mean at this point what hasn’t. The football program is close to dead right now.

Yea ..Bama and Georgia dont have alot of holes but of they do they certainly will be cherry picking to replace if they need .. but maybe helps others too like us .. with kids that dont want to wait in line at Ala or Ga .. so its give and take .. but Bama and Ga re sitting good with this ..
