Write an email, maybe they'll hire youYeah. It could have been funny, but SEC Shorts isn't really funny these days. Occasionally they find a nugget, but after a decade of already mining the easy jokes, and who knows how many years of being a fully-sponsored a corporate program, it's just not going to take any risks. There's sort of one joke in there when he takes the number off and then puts it back on, and a second one when they show the sponsor patches, but it's not really even obsevational. Sort of smirk-worthy. They should have had the shopper step into a little alcove with walls and walls of sponsor stickers, like, thousands and thousands. The endlessly possibilities of selling out.
Funny would have been having someone shopping for a jersey at the store, surrounded by overpriced jerseys for 100-150 dollars, bitching about how "everything changes too fast," and then having the sales guy "sell" the jersey. And all while he's doing that, the fan is checking his phone, and interrupting the sales pitch. "Oh, wait, he just signed with Chik-Fil-A, do you have a Chik-Fil-A patch?" Another phone alert noise. "Oh, wait, no, he turned down Chik-Fil-A, he's going with Wendy's." Another phone alert noise. Another phone alert noise. "Oh, wait ... he's going to transfer to UCLA."
If you want to hit hard, you have an "oh wait" followed by the two exchanging a glance, and then the sales guy swapping the SEC logo for the Saudi Public Investment Fund logo. Then they'd both stare at each other like their dog just died.
The real jokes would be how smoothly the sales guy just swaps out the patches, maybe even doing it so fast you don't notice. Just clockwork. Because the joke is how nothing stays the same and everything changes minute to minute. Everyone's unhappy and unsettled, but the sales guy puts his best face on it. The incongruence would be funnier that way. Eh. Anyway.

Somewhat in jest, but I do actually like what you brought up.While I'm mostly sure that was said in midly sarcastic jest, like I said, they don't take risks due to corporate sponsorship, and they work with budgetary and logistic constrictions I'm not aware of. Easy to come up with hilarious ideas. Hard to come up with hilarious ideas that won't annoy the colleges or the corporate sponsors. See also: SNL.
Niche sports humor in general is tough to work with after a point. Wide as an ocean in terms of things you could reference, but deep as puddles when it comes to things people will recognize and relate to. Mostly oriented on current events or stereotypes.
I almost thought this was an art imitating life thing and someone did their homework. Nick and J's is a legit diner on Lovell Road in Knoxville. But that's "Nick and J's Cafe".Did anyone else catch the "Nick & J's Family Diner" sellout patch?
[note: Nick Saban's new, chummy relationship with newly appointed Michgan State AD J Batt]

You'll never know what those words mean to me brother. From the bottom of my heart thank you. I miss her every moment of everyday but I know she's still with me. I know one day I will be with her again and she left me 4 pieces of her and watching them grow into happy healthy adults is what gets me out of bed every morning. I am truly blessed.Blessed as well. Both kids are doing great. Very thankful. I just got laid off after 16 years at the same company but God will take care of that too. He always does. Glad to hear yall are doing well brother it broke my heart when she didn't make it bud. I can't even imagine how much it hurt you...but I am very proud of you for holding it together for your kids. I know that was hard. Sometimes just getting out of bed is hard, I know, but thats what it means to be a man. To keep putting one foot in front of the other when all you want to do is quit. I have been there myself bro for different reasons. Glad you keep up the good fight! Glad to see your posts here for as long as I can remember. God bless you and yours DD.

I'm so sorry about your struggles my friend. If you need anything please don't hesitate to ask. Just PM me and I'll shoot you my number. I hope one day we can get together and break bread. Heck maybe even catch a game together in Neyland or in front of the big screen tv.
Same to you my friend and my deepest condolences about your pops. They are smiling down on us and we will see them again. This is all temporaryYessir. Cancer took my Dad not long after it took her. I hate cancer with a passion. It is a thief that comes in the night unseen and takes good people from their loved ones. Hate it as much as I hate Flarda...and thats really something having been a teenager all through the 90s and being present in that endzone and watching the Jabar Gaffney NO CATCH happen right in front of me. Heartbreaking to say the least. Keep up the good work brother. Proud of you.
