Vols will be fine. Very easy last part of schedule heading into tournament. Alabama and Auburn are down this year.
LOL...Bama and Auburn are down about like Tennessee is "down", which is to say they aren't. Those teams reload, especially in the portal era. You proclaimed Florida wasn't going to be any good, too.

I think both will be good, but they won’t be as good as they were last year.
Maybe not, but when I hear the term "down," that indicates a significant drop-off to me. I don't think either will be significantly worse than they were last year. I think the SEC in general won't be as good as last year, but that's because the conference was generationally good last year.

Agree, although it may be better at the middle and bottom this year. Just won’t have as many elite type Final 4 contenders at the top. But Georgia, aTm, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Vandy could all be a little better than they were last year.

Auburn just lost their core of their roster and Alabama did as well. Neither team has a huge incoming portal class that is at level of Florida or Kentucky. Vols are clearly a better team on paper than Auburn and Alabama.

Bart Torvik has Vols at 13 and Kentucky at 14. Florida is definitely favorite at 5 but they have a new group of guard. Personally I don’t think them losing those 3 guards was a good thing for them. Alabama was 20th and Auburn 26th.

Fwiw, 247 ranks Auburn and Alabama's portal classes ahead of Tennessee's. ESPN ranks Auburn's class ahead of Tennessee and Alabama. And on3 ranks Tennessee's ahead of both schools. So, it's a crapshoot.

You acknowledge Bama and Auburn lost the entire core of their team...what do you think happened to Tennessee? Same with Florida's backcourt. They're all reloading large portions of their rosters. Bama returns 3 of their top-5 scorers, so they had less in terms of needs in the portal.

I'm just saying every one of those teams is going to be just fine. Will they all four be vying for a 1-seed in February? Highly doubtful. So, if your definition of down is vying for a 2, 3, or 4 seed, then yeah, they had nowhere to go but down.
