Brilliant one-man show. Even though he works on his own and without a corporate sponsor, Mitchell consistently outshines SEC Shorts (though I did like both endings of today's episode of SEC Shorts).

I always find Roll Call to my liking. Matt Mitchell’s writing is like SNL pre-2000. SEC Shorts is like SNL post-2000.

It's amazing how he writes and shoots these so fast. The man is an comedic genius

I appreciate them both, but Roll Call is just better.

Sometimes, SEC Shorts just seems to force football narratives into their comedy sketches and comes across flat. They've also played out a few tropes, like the 'fan in a body cast'.
Mitchell is able to set up his jokes through dialogue, and doesn't need to rely on props nearly as much. What sets him apart is how tuned into the zeitgeist of each Fandom he usually is.
