In 60 games played in the SEC, the winning team averaged 38 points per game. We have not scored that many even once but have only given up that many twice and that was to AL and GA. As porous as the defense can be I don’t believe they are the problem.

Our games have been lower scoring this year because we've not been in shootouts. No teams have been forced to score a bunch to beat us. Most teams in the league have been in at least one game of that type. Almost all of Ole Miss's games have been that way. Teams know that if they hit 24 against us the game is in the bag and they can go vanilla. Meanwhile, no matter how far behind we've been this year we've ran clock killing, game quickening offense that does nothing to help us actually score but tries to keep the other offense off the field. We were punting from midfield down by 24 points in the early 4th quarter Saturday. We just play "give up, please sir don't crush us" football.
