Just personal opinion. Some better competition than others (<cough> Kentucky)

I'll fill in more details as the season goes on. Just something I used to do before Coach Ogre butchered my love for the game.

I looked at Alabama's schedules and results.

This week they play midweek game against Auburn that will not count toward SEC record. They also host a little tourney against East Carolina, Oral Roberts and Lousiville this weekend.

This Alabama team could possibly lose all 4 of these games. Those are 3 pretty good teams this weekend (especially Louisville and ECU). ORU is having a slightly off year but is likely good enough to compete against UAT with their Sunday pitcher.

Alabama may be getting ready to have a Todd Raleigh quality season and Hoover (despite having 10-teams in the field) is looking at the real possibility of having Alabama and/or Auburn not in tournament.

Think we should be in miss spot

Ole Miss is 9-2 and have no really bad losses. They were 1-1 against TCU who I think is actually better than Texas at this point.

Ole Miss, Kentucky and Tennessee are all very close. Noone knows how good UK is at this point but they are undefeated and have played in some bad conditions so I'm giving them some benefit of a doubt.

I think Florida and South Carolina are way ahead of the field.

There's a big gap to Arkansas. A bigger gap to LSU and Miss State who are close.

Vanderbilt lost (bad) to some great teams but they have some ugly losses as well.

Auburn and Alabama are woefully bad.
