The SEC is definitely down. Still, look at the matchups. None of them are particularly favorable. You've got probably the second best team in the ACC against the fourth or fifth best SEC team with South Carolina and FSU (same scenario with us last year). Then you've got a UNC team that did OK in conference against UT with 3 conference wins and they need approximately 15 completely botched officiating decisions to win the game. And UGA probably should have won, but crap, they're still a barely .500 team playing a conference champion.

Losing "Secretariat" on the 1st play from scrimmage didn't help the 'Ol Ball Coaches chances....

Georgia lost that game before they showed up...

And Tennessee got screwed and screwed themselves...

All are from the weakest SEC East in a LONG time....

How many other conferences had 90%+ conference invitations/participation in post-season bowls with a winning season?

Yeah..I thought so...

My official answer when asked about the MSB and other Vol fans should say the same thing---Yes, we won 20-17. The game was over and the ref even made that announcement which by rule means the game is officially over. Whatever happened after that is all trivial because everyone knows who the real winners of the game are.

With GA and SC losing today and UT yesterday the SEC is 0-3....good chance the SEC finishes with a losing record IMO

I think your right, only Auburn and maybe Bama will have a chance, but I think its the tough sched, not talent level.

I won't say I hope the SEC comes up empty in bowl victories but that's only because I got a bet that Auburn is gonna beat Oregon.

To quote TFHFCAUTK it has been a perfect storm, Georgia has trouble with good defensive teams and UCF is just that. UT/UNC what can you say about that shiz? If SCjr. can lean on Lattimore instead of the turnover machine Garcia they probably have a chance.

I bet Florida State is pre season top 10, they gonna be good.

Overall the sec was the weakest its been in years. But luckily we have the best team (money can buy) in auburn. And 20 years from now another real interesting 30 for 30 movie.

The West, as a whole is probably the best it's ever been while the East, as a whole is the worst it's ever been since becoming a split conference. Is the conference really down? I don't think so, the power has just moved to other teams this year.

As long as Auburn wins the BCS for the 4th year straight for the SEC, thats what people are going to remember.

Tennessee won that freaking game, I don't care what anybody says. And yeah, its only a power shift. Only a matter of time before before Dooley, Muschomp, Spurrier, have these super power esque teams and the west is in a crap heap barring Bama's or Auburn lone success most likely.

If Auburn wins, it will be the 5th consecutive SEC national championship, at least until it is vacated.

I hated when we started chanting SEC after the game was "called" what a bummer man. :bad:

SEC East was way down ( as evidenced by SC reppin the East for the first time). SEC West is on top of the world. SEC W/ AU, UA, LSU, Arky, MSU would be the top of any conference.
