4. Tennessee

The Vols welcomed their new quarterback Joey Aguilar with the gift that kept on giving in their opener vs. Syracuse – a bruising running attack that piled up 246 yards on the ground and opened up opportunities through the air. Aguilar took advantage to the tune of 247 yards passing and three TDs. The result was an overwhelming overall offensive output in a 45-26 win over The Orange, who didn’t even wear the most orange in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, which supposedly was a neutral site.

Yeah, I do think people are over reacting to LSU BUT that was the best performance by an SEC squad in week one.
For sure. A lot of the reaction has to do with LSU falling on their face in the last 5 openers before this. Clemson hasn’t truly been a great team in 3-4 years now. Maybe this will hold up as a great win, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Clemson ends up being unimpressive.

I don’t see any SEC team going undefeated this season. Rather, I see 4-7 teams who could beat one another on any given day. As such, power rankings are kind of pointless when the league is more even than ever.
Think you're right and think it will start to resemble more of what SEC BB has looked like the past few years, where the ultimate top level of the conference just know how to survive week to week, even though a few setbacks.

As long as UT stays above UF I am happy...

With only 1 week into the season, I am not sold on anyone. I believe LSU is strong but not #1 strong. Week 3 will tell us a lot.
So, you are good if UF is 16th and UT is 15th in the league. Is that right? As long as UT is in the top 4 iin the like, I think all Vols fans will be happy. I say that is a definite playoff spot!
