You mean the 5-7 Fulmer team?
Not the 13-0 Fulmer team
Fulmer didn't exactly leave a stocked team
What part of 2 walk-ons on Oline means depth and experience?
You're not very objective.
Fulmer's roster that Kiffin inherited had experienced competing & winning Big games.
2006 & 2007 had several wins that would be considered "signature" wins for the last 6 seasons.
The culture of winning and confidence had not been eroded.
Last year one of our best OL was Jacob Gilliam - a walkon playing tackle with a torn ACL.
2 walk-ons is a bit of a stretch. Both Sullins bros played in '09, but only 1 started.
The current roster has never known anything but losing. The Vols have averaged 6.5 wins from 2008-2014, with a high of 7 and low of 5.
2009 had plenty of talent and several players that went on to be drafted.
If you can't see the progress then I don't know what to tell you - it is night and day from 2012. That team quit at the first sign of adversity.
We just need to clean up some sloppy penalties, poor coaching decisions and execute when the opportunity presents itself.
This year could be the turning point. I don't have a lot of patience for fans that have written this team off and seem hopeful that we lose.
Butch is here through 2016 - no doubt about it. So, why not just cheer for the team and let this season play out?
tl;dr
Go Vols!
