Let's see. We'll take Maria, Marcus, and Laura. Trade in Finebaum and Tebow for Booger McFarland, and we'll take him too. That'd be just about right. Thanks. And go Vols!

I may be in the minority, but I actually like both Tebow and McElroy. Although I would take Kaylee over both in a heartbeat

Yeah, McElroy is awesome...but he's gone to ESPN. Pity.

And Kaylee is cute as a button. Happy to have her join, as well.

Not gonna be able to agree with you on Tebow. Great college QB, nice guy, great values ... but turrible TV analyst.

So let's split the difference: Maria, Marcus, Booger, Kaylee, and Laura. :good!:

For the Appy State game. Finebaum fans rejoice. :eek:lol:

SEC Nation headed to Tennessee and Texas A&M

This should lead to a lot of national coverage that day on all ESPN networks as they cut to the SEC Network guys a lot on the main 6-7PM Sportcenter.

This Thursday night opener certainly opens us up to be talked about MUCH more then it would have been buried on Saturday.

Good move AD!

His analysis might not be the best, but he isn't a homer like some are. McElroy is one of the better analysts IMO, but Tebow at least is fair.

Tebow does love him some Dobbs too.

Not as big of a deal as you want it to be. By Friday no one will care as the focus will be on the Sat. games.

It's App State.

I'm just glad that for the first time in over 100 years UT is playing on a Thursday.

Against App St.

Should be awesome.

I made the same mistake, too. Said the same thing a year or so ago. But the Vols have actually played on Thursdays at least twice in the last 25 or so years. Versus Louisville and Ole Miss.

No Kaylee? :(

She fine. Hopefully she's still doing plenty of sideline reporting

I was making fun of the matchup but I was thinking it didn't sound right... Thanks for the correction.

For the third year, SEC Network's traveling football pregame show will visit two Southeastern Conference schools in week one of the college football season. SEC Nation is headed to Tennessee for a special Thursday night show, September 1, to officially kick off the 2016 season, followed by Texas A&M on Saturday, Sept. 3.

Tennessee is set to play Appalachian State on SEC Network at 7:30 p.m. ET, the first opening Thursday night game for the Vols since 1896. The special kickoff show begins at 6 p.m. from the field, providing pregame coverage of the historic game.

Here is some info on the changes to the personnel for the show:

ESPN’s SEC Network is making some pre-snap adjustments to its studio and game broadcast teams in preparation for the upcoming college football season.

On Thursday, the network announced that Maria Taylor would take over as host of the SEC Nation pregame show. She replaces Joe Tessitore, who is becoming the lead play-by-play voice for ESPN’s College Football Primetime game with analyst Todd Blackledge and reporter Holly Rowe.

Taylor already has plenty of hosting experience for SEC Network, occupying the anchor chair for the SEC Now news show for the past two years. She has also hosted the network’s coverage of the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament and worked as sideline reporter for SEC Network’s Primetime Game.

Tim Tebow, Marcus Spears and Paul Finebaum return as SEC Nation‘s analysts. Kaylee Hartung will also continue to contribute features, while also reporting with the Brent Musburger-Jesse Palmer game broadcast team. Greg McElroy, who had been an analyst for the show, moves to the booth, though his broadcast pairing has yet to be announced. Also joining the show will be Laura Rutledge as an on-site reporter.
