Who are gonna be the SEC leaders in the major individual statistical categories?

Passer rating: Andre Woodson
Rusher: Darren McFadden
Receiver: Earl Bennet
Tackles: Jasper Brinkley
Sacks: Derrick Harvey
Interceptions: Carlos Thomas or Simeon Castille

Passer rating: (God willing) Erik Ainge
Rusher: McFadden (i.e. the Arkansas offense)
Receiver: Early Doucet (Flynn will blossom, Doucet is the best receiving threat on the team)
Tackles: Wesley Woodyard or Jerod Mayo
Sacks: Tyson Jackson, LSU
Interceptions: I'd like to say Hef, but he may be playing corner. If he is at Safety, I'll put him up there. Otherwise, I'll go with Castille.

Hefney has had only 4 career picks.. i dont see him breaking out this year. Erik Ainge doesnt have the guys and experience around him to be the best QB this year statistical-wise.

He had 5 last year alone. 9 for his career.

The only thing Carlos Thomas will lead the leaque in is mis-tackles and being beat one v. one...

CBs get more INTs than safeties, usually. If Hefney went to corner, he'd probably have a better shot at getting more.

Funny thing about this Cock's thinking: when he thought Hefney had 4 career picks, he was dogging a Hefney pick. But Thomas has 3 career picks, but he's just destined to break out.

Though I do agree Carlos Thomas will be a fine player in 2007.
