SEC game times announced for first three weeks (Ohio at TN)

Yeah..

I'd bet Ohio/Tennessee gets far more viewers than the ESPNU Florida game. No one is going to watch Florida beat the **** out of North Texas(other than Florida/North Texas fans) while there's a bunch of good primetime games going.

People other than Tennessee/Ohio fans might actually watch Tennessee/Ohio cause it's as good as/better than most of the other garbage on at noon.

Well, there are other FBS vs FBS games at noon that day...which really isn't going to help with that:

Florida State at Louisville (ABC)
Iowa State at TCU (FoxSports1)

Wow Ole Miss and FL St got the shaft. Have to play 2 games in less than 5 days time. Monday night games suck for college teams. Luckily they play cupcakes in week 2 or they would probably be losing that following week.

Florida won the SEC East last year while we were left pondering what might have been. Until we beat anyone of significance then they have all the right of putting them in a prime time game.

What neutered fans yall are.

You have a great team. Stop cowering to other teams. Hold your chest out.

It was planned that way. Neither really got shafted.

The group that organized the neutral site game and the two teams would much rather have the extra focus/attention that they could get by being the lone game a Monday night, before the NFL starts up its season. Not to mention, Ole Miss and FSU get paid quite a bit for playing this game. (They scheduled the cupcakes the week after on purpose as well).

Third game of the year is at 12pm. Well that didn't taken them long, but it's also Ohio so I can see why they did that.

You guys should at least be glad you're not in the Central Time Zone like those of us in Middle TN. Those noon games become 11AM games, with Vol Network coverage starting at 9:30.

2 of florida's first 3 games are against u mass and north texas??? what a joke! and later in the year they play lowly presbyterian college!!

That's is a joke! Who would ever play North Texas? Wait..we played them last season. WHo would ever play UMass....oh, we play them next year! Im sure Presbyterian will be in the near future. That is bad, but next season we play Umass, Indiana St., and Southern Miss. Get your season tickets now! ON the bright side, LSU comes in next year.

I have to say that is probably the strongest opening weekend lineup that I've ever seen. I'm glad our game with Appy St was moved. I would hate to miss some of those games.

yup, I moved to Alabubba two years ago, and I was in shock the first season seeing some of our games at 11 am! My mind could not wrap around it, I usually spend the day preparing yummy food for the entire day but now for 11 am games I am trying to force my body to make eggs and bacon with a bowl of gravy, it is slightly disconcerting to say the least:crazy:

Yep I usually end up ordering a pizza and chicken wings for delivery -- only good thing about it is another game cant preempt it since its the 1st game of the day

I was stationed on the west coast for four years. Starting your football Saturday at 9 am is a real mind bender.

Is KY vs FL really worth the 3:30 CBS slot?

Last couple of years it has been a fun game.

We shoulda been the 7:30 game on ESPNU instead of Florida/North Texas. We're better than Florida and Ohio is better than North Texas.

Disrespectful to put us on at noon.

Between the noon and 3:30 and 7:30 slots the noon one is much more desirable that week. At 3:30 you have Alabama and Ole Miss. Given how great the last two games were there are going to be a lot of people watching that one. Going at 7:30 is even worse because it would go against Michigan State vs Notre Dame, USC vs Stanford, and the biggie that week Ohio State vs Oklahoma.

We play App St and Ohio for 2 of our first 3. I fail to see much difference. If you're going to make fun of a rival, at least do a good job of it. You're embarrassing us man...

I'm really starting to take disrespect to your arrogant and condescending little quips. You know nothing about me and what I believe, so hold your tongue.

Just ignore him. He doesn't know a lot about a lot of things. There's a reason he is the recurring joke in most threads.

Winners and losers of the SEC's schedule announcement

WINNERS

LSU

The Tigers will open the season on ABC with a nationally televised audience, and according to Kirk Herbstreit, with ESPN’s College GameDay in town for the Lambeau Field showdown against Wisconsin. With night homes games against Jacksonville State Week 2 and Mississippi State Week 3, LSU fans win big here as Tiger Stadium takes it up another notch when the Bayou Bengals kickoff after dark.

Florida

The Gators also get two night games with a late kickoffs Week 1 against UMass and Week 3 against North Texas. If you’re going to play cupcakes, the last thing fans want to do is wake up early and sit in the muggy Gainesville sun for a noon kickoff beatdown. Florida also hosts Kentucky Week 2 on CBS and will give the Gators an opportunity to show a nationally televised audience they belong in the Top 25 if they can get a convincing win over an SEC East opponent early in the year.

LOSERS

Missouri

One bad season has apparently wiped the Tigers from easily accessible televised viewing. The Week 1 matchup against West Virginia is on FS1, the Week 2 game against Eastern Michigan is on the SEC Alternate Channel and the Week 3 game in Columbia against Georgia is on SEC Network. The game against the Bulldogs could serve as a coming out party for the Tigers this year, but most SEC fans will be likely chose to watch Mississippi State at LSU or Texas A&M at Auburn on ESPN/ESPN2, with all three games being played during the same time slot.

Kentucky

The Wildcats have started their seasons well the last couple of years under Mark Stoops and may do so again with a more experienced roster returning. The only problem? Most people will only watch the CBS game game against Florida Week 2. Kentucky will open the season against Southern Miss on ESPNU and the Week 3 game against New Mexico State will air on the SEC Alternate Channel.

kinda hard for us not to be winners here as well. with the app st game getting pushed up, gives us more time in front of the VT game. playing Ohio at noon should be expected.

but we get app st and VT in back to back prime time games, 10 days apart.

and it's a good thing we're winners on the schedule...because as we all know...right after that...it could be we're the biggest schedule losers in the conference!!!
