I've not said anything about Hurd and feel no need to compare the two players. Funny you love unobjective homers but then go on to say Dobbs will be the talk of the SEC next year. How about next time actually respond to the post you quote instead of spewing more mindless drivel.

Tebow, McElroy and lots of x qbs love Dobbs. He is the main reason we will be picked to win the east next year. I have been in Dobbs corner since we signed him. I'm sure you were a Riley fan. I think Hurd is solid.......he will help us win games, but Kamara gives us a home run hitter. Fournette is the total package.

I would like to see how LF would have done with our OL. Chubb is better than Hurd or LF. That's who will own the SEC.

Could you imagine Tennessee if they had combination of Chubb and Hurd this season? Tennessee was close with Chubb,too bad Butch couldn't seal the deal.

Don't think you'd have seen much difference with the Oline the Vol's fielded.....just nowhere to run most of the time
no excuse for UT having such a poor Oline and the rebuilding process is indeed a painful one

Our OL is below par. Hurd is just as good as Chubb or Fournette IMO

D-Line was the strength of the Hawkeyes but looks like those 15 practices worked some wonders on the O-line. There was consistently 18-inches of daylight (even though I still think the running plays develop so slow). Loved the way Jalen ran in Jacksonville.

Jalen showed out. Dobbs showed out. Offensive line showed out (against two NFL rated DTs). Quite simply the best Vols performance since the Phil Fulmer era.

Hurd has to do everything by himself. When our OL gets better he will show everyone he's just as good as Any running back in the SEC.

No he isn't.....he is a tad better maybe than Riggs and Ced houston. He is not Webb,Lewis,Cobb, garner level. He's too tall to possess their skill set. He is unique, catches tge ball well, and has lots of good qualities, but he is not elite. He is very good though.

Guess we should move him to tight end then....

Same here. our guys don't ever seem to have that "running downhill" look, just because of the slow start from the backfield. I always liked that I formation, fullback lead, sprint to the hole thing

Agree. He has elite skills with great size. If our OL improves to being just proficient next year and gives him just occasional creases he'll post elite numbers next year provided he stays healthy.
