Every developed country in the world called. They said "sorry your shutdown went so poorly. Ours worked fine. Maybe vote for the other guy next time."

You decide what's right and wrong based on what other countries do? The response to lock down completely for months was wrong. It cost jobs, businesses, years of work and more lives. By almost every account it was handled wrong

There was a brief moment in time when I hoped beyond hope that his campaign persona was only an act to win the vote of a particular segment and that he would actually resemble normal once he took office. That glimmer of hope was vanquished the very first night with Spicer's forced comments on inaugural crowd size.

Cool. I've voted libertarian in 2 elections. Was a Campus Coordinator for Students for Liberty. Used to attend Mises Institute gatherings. I've moved away from the party a bit, because personally I think it's a bit out of touch with all the craziness of the modern world. Maybe that's a good thing. But I still love Hayek's ideas about spontaneous order. Don't agree with everything Nozick said but he has some amazing critiques. Also I think Ayn Rand was probably a sociopath.

Perspective is a bitch but I guess that's the times we live in.

No, I decide what's right and wrong based on what works. Something the president has very little care for.

I could see how something that would require collective action would cause some cognitive dissonance, but that's what the pandemic required, and that's where we failed. Do I need to send you a list of all the countries that went into lockdown and significantly lowered their case totals?

If we had no lock down and kept everything open and literally changed nothing, we would probably have at least 300,000-400,000 people dead if not more.

I enjoy it, but I'm not exactly going to recite paragraphs from Road to Serfdom. I've definitely said some s*** about Biden. To me, Trump is worse and more dangerous. More dangerous to liberty even.

How is Trump more dangerous? Not trying to argue. Interested in your perspective. It's not often that Hayek gets mentioned for discussion.
