I myself have no doubt that we will lose to Georgia. Much like the Fla game, we probably won't belong on the same field. My question is, will it be enough to cause Mike Hamilton to make a move?

It will go a long ways toward it. What I worry about more is that I think a loss to UGA and the players may tank the rest of the season. Could get really really ugly.

Uhh....calm down, spanky. It's not "mine" I found it on another message board where a Penn State fan posted it. It ALSO happens to have OUR head coach on it, so it is definately something of interest for TN fans. Now go clean up your room and go to bed.

UGA may doom him, but a loss to Bama is GUARANTEED to make even his most staunch supporters (what few that are left) turn on him.

That's my worry, too. There are so many losable games on the schedule, and I really hate the thought of losing to Spurrier again.

I don't know...he has a great record against Bama even if we lose to them this year. But he (we) have been dominated by Richt. You know what I mean?

nope. Nothing will get Fulmer out of the coaches office but himself.

That is just it. The success over Bama has been one of the things that his strongest supporters have always pointed out, essentially reversing the dominance of the Tide from the 70-80's.

But if Fulmer finds a way to lose against Bama, you can bet with certainty that Fulmer will not be on the sidelines in 2008.

I do see your point. I guess there are two ways to look at it. I think that losing yet ANOTHER game to Richt would go a long way, too.

I would have said that too with Dickey as A.D. but Hamilton has shown that he isn't scared to pull the plug.

Fulmer helped get Hamilton his job and he donated the million dollars to UT so it might be harder than expected to get rid of Phil not to mention the 6.4 million buyout.

I did hear on the radio that with Hamilton just giving fulmer and all assistants extensions last year.....it apparently added up to like 6.something million in buyout expenses. They said it would make it hard for Hamilton to then go back to the president and now say "lets get rid of him/them"

the past few days I have heard from numerous sources that an UGA loss will indeed be his demise. However, I just can't shake the fact that a 4 loss season w/ a bowl win and Bama victory gives him his one more season to win the SEC.

The 6.5 million is chicken scraps. In fact, the amount makes the possibility of fulmer getting axed an even bigger reality.

Is this the same UGA team we put 50+ on last year? Oops, forgot, it's at home. Nevermind.

Exactly. He isnt doomed yet, though one would have to think if we kept up the pace and finished 6-6 he would be.

I for one hope we lose to Georgia,Bama,Kentucky etc etc.Because if we dont and win say 8-10 games we will still have that Orange Oarf on the sidelines next year and Florida will clean our clocks again!Face it he is washed up and is to stubborn to change his coaching style in other words he is a pig-headed full of himself doughnut eating slob who says its his way or no way!WELL I SAY ITS TIME FOR THE HIGHWAY PHIL!:shades:
