SEC East next year

I just don't see how we go 8-4. We still return 14 of 22 starters and we have a stocked roster after years of Urban's recruiting. I think we take 2 of 3 from this group:

-LSU
-Alabama
-Tennessee

And 2 of 3 from this group...

-South Carolina
-Florida State
-Georgia

If we do that then we are 10-2.

Zook couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag, but he could rectruit his rear off. And UF went 8-4, Tebow carried this team on offense. If you dont find some play makers on the outside this coming year, you want have that luxury. IMO the east maybe a mess in 10', Garcia will be the best returning QB with loads of play makers, but they never seem to be able have an consistant O-line. LWS is dead on, its too early to even speculate.

South Carolina 9-3
UGA 9-3
FLA 8-4
UT 7-5
UK 5-7
VANDY 2-10

I think Steve at USCjr has done a great job recruting the last 3 years and it showed a little bit this year. I think they are the suprise team next year (kinda like Ole Miss in 08).

Florida has to many distraction that will be going on next year with new coaches and starters. Losing to much this year to the draft. Plus when you recruit for the spread 4 years straight then you have a pocket passer as your next QB with no running game then your in some trouble. No matter how good brantley is all of his receivers are little men made for the spread offense.

Tenn- Everything is looking up but its a three year process! Next year won't be to much better then this year because of replacing too many starters on offense and that schdule is crazy hard.

In 3 years Alabama and Tenn should start meeting twice a year! Good luck RTR!

Ask me next December. I honestly have no idea. The top three teams in the division will have a lot of player turnover and inexperience. Florida has the most talent currently, but we are catching up. Inexperience and mistakes in the wrong positions can turn many games around. I do think UT, Florida and Georgia will be the top 3 teams. The order will be determined later. Much later. The most likely result is the same order as this year with 2011 being anyone's division.

That is my crazy prediction... very likely to change, but I do think South Carolina will be solid next year. Our schedule is too tough to be the top team. Florida without Tebow will be interesting. UGA is not gonna be great either. Overall, a down year for the East in my opinion.

Ut= 6-2
Fl= 6-2 (UT goes to SECCG with tiebreak over FLA)
Ga= 5-3
USCjr= 4-4
Ky= 4-4
VU= 1-7 or 2-6 cant decide here

UT goes to SECCG with Bama and wins. Record is 10-3 and gets first BCS bowl that isnt the Championship game. whatever that may be.

Stevens will be the starting QB next year. He knows the system and has a good arm. He will be ahead of where Crompton was at the beginning of this year. As always, the VOLS have the most pessimistic fans on the planet. I remember everyone talking about us going 6-6 this year with Crompton at best. I remember when everyone was saying that the VOLS would finish 4th or 5th in the SEC this year after the Auburn game. I think we get started right beating the big O and then bringing the crying gators in and putting the beat down on them.

If the Vols had lost to UK in OT, 6-6 and 4th in the east is what would have happened. To be fair, those predictions weren't that far fetched.

The east will be pretty average next year. The big 3 of the division will all be grooming new QBs, and I think it will allow South Carolina and Kentucky to be in the hunt longer than normal. It gets worse for Georgia before it gets better, and Vandy is Vandy.

Florida 9-3
UT 8-4
South Carolina 8-4
Kentucky 7-5
UGA 5-7
Vandy 2-10

We win the East next year and basically trounce UF and UGA at home.

This is worth saving. I wouldn't be surprised if we lost, no Gator should. Tennessee's defense will again be good if not a tad bit better, even without Rico and Berry as it will be the second year in Monte's schemes. UT's problem will again be offense and I know I've taken my fair number of shots at Crompton but what he did for y'all the second half of the season is incredible. If he doesn't turn it around like he did then y'all finish MUCH worse. Replacing Hardesty is big because I still believe he was the best back in the SEC.

Trouncing? Nah.

1. UGA 10-2
2. UT 10-2
3. UF 8-4
4. KY 5-7
5. SC 5-7
6. Vandy 2-10

The UT/ UGA winner will win the East. UGA wins that game. 9 starters back on offense and a DC who will coach fundamentals. That is all we are missing-every pundit in the business will tell you UGA has more talent than UT.

Our best players were FR/SOPH this year.

Wishful thinking to say UF loses 4 games, or that UGA wins 10. Also, I hate to admit it, but there's no way UT wins 10 next year either.

UT doesnt exactly have a 4 year starter and O line either.
Im all for bashing UGA but dont dont knock them for the same question marks we have.

After looking at the UGA depth chart, I think they return all of their O-line. Not saying it will make them all world, but UT will be replacing virtually the entire O-line and the QB.

I think next year for UT might be a tough one, although I expect a few flashes of greatness accompanied by winning a game or two that they shouldn't. Winning the division isn't out of the question, but neither is finishing fourth...

UGA is a sinking ship overall and will be breaking in a new defensive staff, but I don't really think we'll know much of anything about them or the SEC East as a whole until the teams get a couple of games under their belt next year.

This whole thread is a series of guesses made with very little information...

I see a big dropoff for Florida. I know they still have talent, but their team was 99% Tebow this year. With him gone, they will be lost and leaderless (as they looked Saturday night). Especially if Dunlap leaves for the NFL (so he can afford higher quality liquor), it all adds up to UF hurting and crashing back to reality next year.

I'm not saying they will have a losing record, but they definitely fall back to the rest of the pack in the SEC east, which will come down to UT, UG, and UF.

My crystal ball says 7-5 or 8-4 and 2nd in the east again. Hope I'm wrong but with the gap in talent between UT and UF, UGA I just can't see being any better in year 2. Heck it looked like UK had better overall talent than we did, we just had better coaching.

What I get frustrated with is that we have such important turnover in key positions. Next year will be a *great* year to get Florida in Brantley's first year starting and still with question marks about their receiving corps. However, we're going to be in worse shape I think with Stephens/Bray and the offensive/defensive lines, and no Eric Berry. And it's just annoying because in 2011 when we have a chance to be really good if recruiting trends continue, Florida might be right back up again.

1. UT 9-3
2. Florida 9-3
3. South Carolina 7-5
4. Kentucky 6-6
5. UGA 6-6
6. Vandy 4-8

UT will have the best conference record in the East and will win the UF game. We lose to Oregon, @LSU, and Bama

Predict how you think the SEC East will go next year and predict the records for all teams.

1. Florida (10-2)
2. Georgia (9-3)
3. Tennessee (8-4)
4. South Carolina (8-4)
5. Kentucky (6-6)
6. Vanderbilt (3-9)

Which two teams do you think beat Florida?
